Bad hobby, it sucks. It takes all your money away very quickly..... on the other hand...

Go out and shoot and have fun! I started off with a Rebel xT then off to a 20D and 30D.

50 1.8 and 18-55 IS will suffice you until you want to upgrade. A good upgrade for the 18-55 would be Tamron 17-50 2.8 or Sigma 18-50 2.8

And don't waste your time with the 55-250. I stupidly bought one and sold it months later, go for the 70-200 F4!

Cheaper Knock Offs are copies of copies of copies of copies of the Original Kit that ACTUALLY fit the vehicle correctly, after all the copying the only thing that kept the same is how it looked (kinda)

I owned a set of 404A that I gave away after seeing how crappy they fitted.

QUOTE (Goonter @ Feb 6, 2010 - 2:45 AM) *
iunno about how 7th gen is treated there in the us. but here i would bet that if you put both side by side and ask guys which they prefer, i can tell you almost 90% will say the 6th gen. why? because the newer celicas, apparently, is a "grly" car. i honestly dont know what the hell they're talking about.. they dont look girly to me. but i DO prefer the 6gc looks at least

Girl cars? Ive had both plus the 5gc. All are girl cars.

nics, no hate. 6gc are fun cars, did more autocrossing in my ST than in my GTS. Just getting tired of the "talk" about 7gc are nothing but young folks/haters of the older gens.

7GC are definitely more popular due to its power out of the box (GTS), aftermarket support, aggresive looks (to some), and prices for 00-01s are very close to 98-99 GTs. 6GC just hold their damn value too much IMO (Can never find a cheap one...)

6GC can go fast with the requirement of 5000+ put in it... aka, swap or F/I

Limited Slip Differential helps with putting the power down. The best example I can say would be..... you would like 300whp through 1 tire or 2?

100 or so give or take if you know people. It really depends on where you are and who you talk to.

rolling your fenders for the first time might not be the best idea, paint can easily crack if you do not execute it properly. What kind of suspension are you running? Rolling the fenders can be done with a tool that can be ordered from Tirerack (expensive) or a couple lightweight hammers, or the very old school way of heating and baseball bat (louisville slugger)

I had 215/45s on my 17x8 with the same offset, stretch was not bad at all. It didn't bother me much since I was always careful with my wheels.. also I have no idea how that fitment is with the 6gc, I had mine on a 7gc.

I sold my XT + Grip 18-55. 35-80. 4 batts, 2 chargers, and a few more stuff for 360. They are dropping in prices like crazy also..
go get the 580EXII. I used a 430EX for a wedding I shot in a museum....needed more light!

on a side note, im planning on getting a pair of Alienbees, prolly the 800s and start doing some studio type photography.
