The cable adjustment is probably just donked up. Service info just says less than 10mm free play, so shoot for 5mm free play on the cable adjustment for that and see how it does. There's a list of symptoms and possible causes but I'm not sure any of those would be helpful. |

Toyota really likes to reuse the same parts over and over, it's possible and likely that the front rollers are the same or that rollers from another model are the same. What kind of machining was needed? |

If it doesn't come with a wire harness or comes with a cut harness you'll need some good wiring diagram resources to get it up and running. If it comes with the full harness and ECM it should be more or less plug n play, may be some work needed to get speedometer to read correctly being kph vs mph but I think that's easily enough converted. |

i will bring my cooler with water and drinks , but it looks like our usual chefs are not coming. Rootbeer stand works for me but really I'm good to eat anywhere and anything. I mean if someone wants to stuff I don't mind cooking but I don't know how many there's going to be to cook for, I don't think that young guy with the Firebird is coming out. Probably good tho, not sure he'd stay on the road. |

Are we bringing food to eat at the meet or just going out for like late lunch/early dinner? I'm good with either. |

Anyone else still going or am I having a good time by myself? 😄 Won't be able to make it, big sad...You're going to have a good time by yourself. I'll be in Chicago in late October but it's for family. Bring me one of those weird meat logs you were talking about, just chuck it out the window while you're coming in on I-80 and I'll catch it. Kid I used to work with wants to tag along in his Camaro, so if you see a dark blue Camaro that's way too low with a very very much 17 year old kid...that's him. He wants to see some real JDM cars. |

Awesome. I think I'm going to go with PS, found a couple more recent threads about Amayama having some issues with shipping, they charge FedEx but it arrives on slow boat EMS or they break the order into several shipments and double charge shipping. One guy had an incorrect customs form and had to pay through the nose, $40 customs on a $60 part. From what I can figure out car parts under $800 shouldn't have to deal with customs duties? |

Trying to not pay through the ass for some parts on the Celica, state-side dealers are asking $300 for a chain and $300 for the VVT sprocket, double what I had expected. Anyone used this company before? https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/1350688600 https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/130500d010 How about https://partsouq.com ? Anyone deal with them? |

Everybody getting through these storms OK? In other news I'm getting a new daily to replace the old Mazda. 190hp, 13:1 compression, should do just fine. |

for now is august then. Everybody check which Saturday yall got open . 26th is Offspring so I'm out that day. Evidently she got us 'good seats' because I'm old and I don't want to stand that long. We'll probably be there. Depends on my financial woes post tour. I quit my full time job in October and am expecting to drop a huge amount on Blink tour lol. Ugh I'm buying a replacement for the 1998 Mazda 626, I feel sort of your pain. I'll be literally quantum leaping to a car that's 20 years newer so that'll be nice but the hole in my bank account won't be so nice. How much oatmeal can I mix in with my ground beef before it's just beef flavored oatmeal? I'm eyeballing a Mazda 3 late 3rd gen or early 4th gen, nothing crazy just something smaller and good on gas. The little 2.0 is plenty of engine for a commuter car, I'd considered a Civic but I just can't CVT and I hear they're higher to insure...also CVT. |
