I'm not sure about the whole life thing. You have to consider the consumption of oil relative to the amount of natural resources left to harvest. Then there's the whole idea of if the 6GC will become a ancient fossil like the Datsuns, mk1 supras/celicas/corollas. They are in a league of their own.

I'm still driving 7 going on 8 years strong with my ST. 7 years of abuse with proper maintenance and it finally gave in. Now in the process of saving up for a swap. I definitely have Toyota pride and favored to the 6gc.

Dang youngsters,,, wink.gif

I guess I could considering adding myself to this list. I've barely been on these forums for 10 years, but I still have my Celica, with no plans to sell.

She was totaled by insurance back in 2013, but I kept driving her daily until last year. Now she's just parked in the shop. She sat for 1.5 years, then last week I just swapped in a new battery, and she fired right up. Damn, I love Toyota. I washed her, and am getting her ready for storage, which got me thinking about all the modifications I always wanted to do and never did. Which then got me back on this site for the first time in years.

I think it's safe to assume I'll never sell. I'd probably only get $1000, and she's worth far more than that to me. Maybe in another 20 years she'll be a collectors item wink.gif

ya keeping mine till it burns to the ground or gets totaled. to see a tuned celica is so rare. people build the same cars over and over again, boring.

oh man, I've met three of the Yelli Celi's owners over the decades. Came sort of close to buying it myself at one point. I think davenirish had mine for a bit before scrapping it.

I wish I hadn't sold mine... but I was given a 2010 Chevy Cobalt when my grandfather passed away... and my timing belt had broken so it just felt like it was time.. especially since I was in a new marriage with an adopted son... but after my cobalt died.. the wife let me get a sports car again.... so got an 03 WRX. it has the one thing my Celica was missing.. power.. lol
