Hey 6gc members!
I am re-organizing the list of parts from other cars that fit the 6gc. Some of them are rather broad and obvious, others are very specific and really awesome finds! I will include all that have been found soo far and information about who posted the matching fit. Yes I am aware that with $$$ we could mod ANYTHING to fit, but we're talking about perfect fit or nearly bolt up (minor work/fund$ required). Thanks!

note- these are only suggestions, please be sure to check you fit closely during install to ensure you're safety. and I apologize in advance if I mis-quote anyone.

Engine Parts: (model/swap specific of course...)
-
engine basics-
7AFE's
Found in other cars:
AE102 Corolla/Prizm 1993–1997 (North America)
AE112/115 Corolla 1997–2002 (excluding Japan)

5S-FE's

The 5S-FE was available in several variations each being distinguished by the valve cover design.
The first gen, introduced in the 1990–1992 Celica GT/GT-S and MR2, had a power rating of 130 hp and 144 lbs-ft/torque.
the second Gen was introduced in 1993 with the fifth Gen Celica ST184, and continued on throughout the sixth Gen Celica ST204. The second gen was also used in the MR2 (SW21) and Toyota Camry/Scepter (XV10) series and had a power output of 135 hp and 145 lbs-ft/torque. It had slightly less aggressive cams, no cold start injector, a knock sensor, and more aggressive tuning to give it slightly more power. In states that had adopted California state emissions the 5S-FE was rated at 130 hp and 145 lbs-ft/torque due mainly to emission equipment used in order to meet the emissions regulations of those states.
The 3rd Gen was the last 5S-FE engine to be produced and was used in the 1997–2001 Camry XV20 and 1999–2001 Camry Solara; however, from 1996 onwards, the engine received a crank angle sensor instead of a cam angle sensor for a smoother idle. From 1997 to 1999 the engine produced 133 hp at 5,200 rpm and 147 lbs-ft/torque at 4,400 rpm. From 2000 to 2001, the engine received modest improvements to increase power output to 136 hp at 5,200 rpm and 150 lbs-ft/torque at 4,400 rpm. The 5S-FE was replaced in all applications by the 2.4 L 2AZ-FE.

U.S.
California specification 1994-1996 5S-FEs in the Celica and Camry used air-assisted, 250 cc injectors, and sequential fuel injection for reduced emissions over the grouped (2+2) firing scheme.
The 1994-1995 MR2 did not receive this change, nor did Camrys/Celicas in federal emissions states.

Camry 5S-FEs have a counter-rotating balance shaft assembly to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness. They reduce the 2nd order vibrations common to 4-cylinder engines by spinning at two-times the crankshaft speed.
The 1994-1999 Celica and 1991-1995 MR2 5S-FEs lack these balance shafts, so any 5S-FE engine with balance shafts likely came from a Camry.

In 1997, for the fourth-generation Camry, the 5S-FE was updated for the last time. The engine received a direct ignition system with external camshaft and crankshaft sensors. This system used a wasted-spark setup, and the coils were complete with integrated igniters. The engine did not use a typical coil-on-plug setup, but rather two coil/igniter assemblies mounted near cylinder four, and provided spark via normal high-tension cords ("spark plug wires"). This change means that the 1997-2001 Camry 5S-FE no longer had a distributor mounting hole and could be used with older 5S-FEs without swapping the heads.[citation needed]

The 1997-1999 Camry 5S-FE continued with the air-assisted, 250 cc injectors. The Camry 5S-FE also had a factory 4-to-1 header design - in Federal form, it had no pre-catalyst, although the California version did replace the collector design of the Federal version with a warm-up pre-catalyst for reduced cold start emissions.

For 2000 Toyota removed the air-assisted injectors and moved to superfine atomization (~50 micrometers), 12-hole, 235 cc injectors manufactured by Denso. They are of a different design, and required a change in the cylinder head casting.

For 2001 Toyota started fitting factory MLS (multi-layered steel) head gaskets and other metal gaskets layered with Viton to engines, including the 5S-FE. MLS head gaskets require cylinder head and cylinder block resurfacing on older engines to ensure proper sealing; consequently, MLS head gasket did not supersede the old composite head gasket.

The 1994-1999 Celica 5S-FE was not updated with these changes, and continued to be driven by a distributor and the older electronic control system and injectors. Any used engine marked as a 1997-2001 Camry 5S-FE with a distributor is a Celica 5S-FE or older Camry 5S-FE.

3S-GTE's

First Generation[edit]
The first-generation Toyota CT26 utilized a single entry turbine housing and a single wastegate port design. It was fitted to the first generation ST165 Toyota Celica GT-Four. The intake charge was cooled by a water-to-air intercooler and the intake manifold design is Toyota's T-VIS. It has 8 independent ports and benefits from the inertia build up to improve engine torque at low and medium speeds by closing 4 ports below a certain RPM and throttle position to increase air speed and maximize fuel atomization and opening all 8 at higher engine loads for better air volume. Air metering is through an Air Flow Meter and there is no factory BPV/BOV in this generation. Fuel delivery is through 430cc injectors while air is fed through a 55mm throttle body and 7.15mm intake and exhaust valve lift. Compression ratio is 8.5:1 and produces 182-190HP and 190lb-ft with a factory 8-9psi of boost. Fuel cut is at 12psi. [10]

A second-generation 3S-GTE
Second Generation[edit]
The second-generation Toyota CT26 used a twin entry turbine housing with dual wastegate ports. It was fitted to the second generation ST185 Toyota Celica GT-Four as well as the SW20 MR2 Turbo. The intake charge is cooled by an air-to-air intercooler either top-mounted in the Celica or side-mounted in the MR2. The rally homologation Celica (known as Group A Rallye in Australia, RC in Japan and Carlos Sainz Limited Edition in Europe) used a top-mounted water-to-air intercooler and is distinguished by a hood vent rather than a hood scoop as found in the non-homologation ST185s. This generation retains the T-VIS intake manifold and the Air Flow Meter. A factory BPV is included in the SW20 MR2 Turbo but not on the Celicas. Compression ratio is 8.8:1 and produces 200-232HP and 200-224lb-ft. This generation retains the injector size and throttle body size from the previous generation. However, boost is increased to 10-11psi in the ST185 and MR2 while it is increased to 16psi in the ST185RC.[11] Intake and exhaust valve lift is significantly increased to 8.2mm. This generation also is known for the infamous Hose from Hell (HFH) and Hose from Hell on Earth (HFHOE) as two small coolant hoses are known to require replacement sometime after 100k miles and is sandwiched in all directions by components.

Third Generation[edit]
The third-generation engine uses the (enthusiast-dubbed) Toyota CT20b turbo, which was of the same design as the second-generation but with a slightly improved turbine housing and larger compressor wheel. A factory BPV is installed on all applications. The intake charge is cooled by a water-to-air top-mounted intercooler similar in shape to the ST185RC WTA. One can tell the difference as the ST205 WTA is black while the ST185 WTA is silver with a black centre. This generation does away with T-VIS and uses a normal 4 runner intake with the same port shape and size as the NA engine (but with larger injector holes for side feed). The Air Flow Meter is also removed in favor of a MAP sensing system (prior generations used a MAP sensor only for the purpose of the factory boost gauge and determining overboost fuel cut). Various increases included injector size (540cc), boost (13psi), overboost fuel cut limit (18psi), intake cam lift (8.7mm), throttle body size (60mm), and a 10mm increase in exhaust ports. Exhaust valve lift is retained at 8.2mm.[10] In late 1997, the block casting was revised with added support around the head to prevent block cracking problems.[11] The CT20b turbo found in this generation is backwards compatible with the second generation motors, however not the first generation. Further improvements include a factory oil catch can. Compression is reduced down to 8.5:1 however power is improved to 245-255PS(242-251HP) and 304 N·m (224lb-ft).

Fourth Generation[edit]
The fourth-generation engine uses a proprietary CT15B turbocharger. This generation was used in the 1997-2002 ST215 Caldina GT-T AWD Wagon. The exhaust housing is actually cast into the cylinder exhaust manifold, rather than the normal practice of a separate turbine housing after the cylinder exhaust manifold. Due to this, the CT15 is backwards compatible with the third-generation 3S-GTE cylinder head only, not either the first or second generation. Intake charge was cooled by an air-to-air top-mounted intercooler fed through a new side-feed intake manifold. This generation utilizes a coil-on-plug ignition system and 550cc injectors. Boost remains at 13-14psi, however overboost fuel cut is increased to 21psi. Compression is increased to 9:1 and produces 260PS (256hp) and 324N·m (239lb-ft).

Fifth Generation (also known as Gen4.5)[edit]
The fifth-generation engine uses the same turbo as the fourth generation model. This generation was used in the 2002-2007 ST246 Caldina GT-Four AWD Wagon. There are only minor differences to this engine compared to the previous version and due to only limited markets receiving the ST246, very little is known and very few are aware of the engine. Differences include longer of the injectors to be closer to the intake ports. The intake manifold returns to a center-feed type fed by a air-to-air top-mounted intercooler. This intercooler is slightly smaller than the previous generation and is oriented slightly different than any of the previous generations. It is tilted more towards the front of the car. The coil-on-plug ignition is different in this generation and it is not compatible with the ST215 ECU. The valve cover is different as for the first time in the 3S-GTE series as the oil filler hole is on top of the exhaust camshaft instead of the intake. Other differences include the first time that there is no oil cooler in this generation as well as OBD2 diagnostics. Despite the downsize in various components of this generation, power is retained at 260PS (256hp) and 324N·m (239lb-ft). [12]

I had a turbo 95 Eagle Talon a few years ago. I bought a body kit for it and held the side skirts up beside my celica, with little modifying it will fit if it's made for the 95 - 98 talon/eclipse. The distance between the end of the front wheel well and the beginning of the rear wheel well are identical, also the door starts and stops in the same place when compared to the eclipse/talon. The only thing that was different was the way the door was rounded off. The side skirt will need some very very very very slight modifying and fiberglass work. But this opens up another door to side skirt styles on the celica. I'm just throwing that out there for someone that wants to attempt to fit it. I would have loved to, but I don't have the time. And all I did was hold it up beside my celica as it would look if it were bolted on, I never tried to attach it. Also considering the number of body kits and wide body kits available for the eclipse/talon, and how similar the cars look, not only would the styling match, but the kits would be cheaper than celica kits, and the car could look amazing. Once I finish my Gen III 3s conversion, and have more time, I WILL attempt a wide body eclipse conversion on the celica.

(side note: the car that this was tried on is a 95 convertible GT, and I do know that the convertible GT is one inch longer than the regular GT), i'm not sure where that extra inch is, but if it is between the door and wheel well then this mod will only be for convertibles)

Individual Ignition coils:
03 - 05 Yamaha R6 (and 06 - 08 R6s)
The coils are CDI, so you would need a CDI controller to power the coils.

As for my post above, I have since then measured the distance between the 95 - 99 Eclipse and the 94 - 99 Celica wheel wells and they are not the same. I know for a fact that those aftermarket side skirts I had from the Talon fit the Celica, but the distance between the two wheels is a couple inches different. They may have fit the Celica because they weren't an exact fit.

Twin Piston Front Calipers from following vehicles that bolt on directly to your GT brake caliper bracket :

95 - 97 Toyota Avalon w/ABS
94 - 96 Toyota Camry V6 w/ABS
94 - 96 Lexus ES300

get these (readily available at the yards) over the SW20 turbo twin turbo calipers. they are larger (cover more surface area) by far. mr2 are smaller than stock 94-99 gt calipers

Inner tie Rods that bolt in directly to mcpherson steering rack

you need these to attach the superstrut outer tie rods

1999-1997 Lexus GS300
1991-2000 Lexus LS400
1992-2000 Lexus SC300/400
1993-1998 Toyota Supra

2001-2003 Mazda Protege Rear sway bar end links are same size as superstrut front end links

ISCV from 2000-2005 Toyota Echo are identical to 3sge beams redtop and info on 2007 Honda Civic 1.7 liter can be found here http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=90718

3rd Generation 3SGE Catalytic Converter length 17.5"/44.5cm

82-83 celica, 87-92 Supra Turbo and 95-2000 Tacoma/ mid 90`s T100 are same length. These are bolt on converters that will work superbly with any aftermarket ST202/206 exhaust you buy

You want the converter with 2.5" piping!

The only one that will ship to California is the 82-83 celica one. Becuase if you think about it logically, you can import vehicles after the 25 year mark.

There is also a stainless steel test pipe made by LCE performance that come in 2.25" or 2.50". I ordered the 2.5" that has 105mm bolt spacing center to center and is ceramic coated. http://www.lceperformance.com/Test-Pipe-3R...e-p/1043056.htm

This part is what you need for the decat pipe or if your replacing catalytic converter for 90-95 MR2/Celica, 90-99 T100/4runner/Tacoma, 87-92 Supra turbo

Felpro 60512

ST202 3SGE bpipe exhaust outlet

2002-2006 Nissan Sentra 2.5L cat gasket will work for your ST202 Celica 3SGE HKS bpipe section that bolts to your cat and the Kakimoto R/N1 flange that bolts to the cat on the back end.

Crankcase Oil Vent Hose for 3SGE Beams Redtop (12263-88561 discontinued) I bought this and it works great. You'll also need an outer high heat sleeve/sock for it!

https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/products...tant-black-blue

Also, Heater Hose (87245-2D280 discontinued) that plugs into bottom of heat valve coming from the firewall (87240-20420)

3sge Beams and 5S-FE have different oem part numbers. I got the DAYCO 86121 and cut it to length. This dayco hose is from the 1988-1990 Corolla GT-S.
-Rockauto shows Dayco 87874, but not sure how different it is. The Water Outlet (16331-74260) that attaches to the cylinder head is different between the engines.

1st Generation Scion TC power steering reservoir fits all 6gc. only thig is how to go about making the backside of reservoir click into place. you can see the plastic tab does not protrude all the way out so it cant clip into that slot.
