i kno i kno..this is probably the most EASIEST work u can do for yoru 6gc...but i wanna let every1 that doesnt know try this mod out...really easy!!!!

Tools needed:

3/4" Socket, Breaker bar/socket wrench:

jacks, jack stands,

JIC Magic Type 1 Lower Arm Bar:

IPB Image

ok here goes:

1. Jack up front of car and put em on jack stands on both the driver and passenger side

2. Now locate the control arm bolt (in front of car)which is where the control arm ends....u should be able to see it right behind the wheel...(jus beneath the steering wheel) Unbolt it using the 3/4" socket....ive used a breaker bar to loosen the bolt and then use a socket wrench to take teh whole bolt out....its very LONG.....

3. Now take your arm bar and hold it in place...jus kinda screw the bolts back in the original place but not all the way becaue you will have top do it the other side too...Do the same on the other side...and tighten both of the control arm bolts and you're done..!!!

now lower vehicle.........this should how the JIC Magic Lower Arm Bar be like after installation...sorry for the blurry pics.....

i found that this bar actually made the steering response a bit better..the turn-in is great....

special thanks goes out to celicaZR for the instructions on how to do this thumbsup.gif.......well this is it folks...enjoy!!! biggrin.gif

PS - installation of the cusco lower arm brace (4 point) should be about the same procedure but using the the other control arm bolts too.....tehres a total of 4 bolts.....

Not quite as easy I'm afraid - on the GT-Fout at least.
The front RHS bolt requires the engine to be lifted slightly to allow it to be removed completely. For this, you need to remove the RHS engine mount and jack the engine up. Not a 5 minute jonb unfortunately mad.gif

good write up.

but, whats the benefit of a bar like this? it just hooks up to your subframe to add extra support? how does this change anything?

For a technical reason why....

The bar braces the suspension mounting points and either eliminates or reduces (depnding on how good the brace is) movement. This means that the suspension geometry remains constant during turning etc.
