So for anyone who says "That won't fit in the back of your Celica" you can assure them it will.

Moving in to my new place I found great deal on a couch. And I have a hatchback. And they said it wouldn't fit.

I drove all the way across town, and now have an awesome leather couch in my studio.

wt.......f

only 20% of the couch is inside the car. I'm surprised you didn't get a ticket. In California there is a law that only allows up to 3-4 feet of cargo to stick out past your rear bumper.

mad props to you having the balls and tie down skills to making it happen though.

100% un-shopped, straight off a cell phone goodness.

And ya, I'm glad I didn't get a ticket too. I know I could have...

super off topic, but this reminds me of that friends episode where they try to move the couch by themselves and ended up jaming the couch into the stairway. They finally ended up having to cut the couch in half.

A surfboard strap tied to the place where the back seats lock onto the frame. Tied it, ran it around the back of the couch, then tied it to the other one on the other side. Very tightly.

I am a big fan of making the Celica more versatile and all about utilizing that rear hatch. I use mine to stick my big mountain bike in. Very cool, man! wink.gif
