Last year the engine was in break in period @ 8 psi. Nothing was going wrong exept ... for the oil consummation ; 1 quart every 300 miles. I decided to open the engine again to see. It was the fuc**** total seals rings who dosen't do their job. So for 2k7 ;

act xtrem pressure plate and 6 puck (w/o spring) disc

custom aluminium race intake

beside the manifold/turbo

arias 82 mm piston/rings

pauter rods (already in motor last year)

block bore to 82 mm

No more blue this year

Now waiting for some parts to reasemble the engine. More pics later.

Claude

dude..that intake is nuts. Who made it?/how much did it cost? I would love to get a custom made one for a 5s. I officaily think we need a Canadian Celica meet..like work with the guys from Ontario MR2club and maybe go with them to Kingston for their meet.

The only problem I would see with your setup is the wastegate placement... It's really not the best... The exhaust air flow must do a complete 180° turn to go to the wastegate route. It will be hard to stay at low boost on this big turbo (relatively compared to a 7AFE engine). You may experience boost creep because of that and the 38mm wastegate.

Otherwise, you did some good work!!!! Congrats!!! The engine bay paint is really nice!

pitcelica ; the 38mm wastegate and the turbonetic turbo was my old setup and boost control wasn't an issue ; even at low boost . Some pics of the new stuff . biggrin.gif

hks gt3037

earl's fitting and lines

All the electronics are all on this plate for easy troubleshooting and wiring

I redone all the wiring with quick disconnect harness

Reassemble the engine with the hks wastegate, gt3037 turbo and shimed oil pump.

Twin tensionner belt configuration using 4age hks belt. We can see the relocation of the alternator also.
