Hi all. The question is the thread size of gearbox oil cooler. I install front mount IC and want to relocate gearbox cooler and replace non flexible hoses to stainless steel flexible ones. So i need to know fitting thread sizes to make stainless steel lines. Maybe somebody has all ready done this operation and know thread sizes. So please help, i have already searched forums, but found nothing.
This is what i am talking about: Best regards, Sergei. This post has been edited by JDM_Rider: Nov 12, 2010 - 8:11 AM -------------------- |

Sorry for bringing an old thread back to life, but does anybody happen to know the answer to the original question?
I am in the process of installing a FMIC and need to relocate my transmission oil cooler and want to get braided hoses from the transmission to the cooler. -------------------- |

I got fittings from summit, but I just ran rubber lines as i'm using the oil cooler from my rx7 that I dont use anymore and it has barbed connections. The lines are not high pressure.

Do you know what size the fittings were? That is what I am interested in knowing so I can order some braided hose. I believe it is M14 x 1.5 on the transmission itself and am wondering if the cooler is the same or if it is -an or NPT fitting? Have you made braided lines before? They are a pain in the ass. Could just buy that fitting, then -6an to barb. NPT to barb for the cooler; run some cheap fuel line hose with some clamps. If you've made the lines before then it won't hurt, just more expensive and not really necessary. -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq
