How can you tell if it's bad? Also, ya know those stupid "performance chips" you can buy off ebay for like 20 bucks, my fiance and his friend think my car has one and that's why it's doing so bad on gas. I've gotten 2 opinions on my car already as to why it's doing bad on gas and no shops can find anything. My o2 sensors are good, etc...

So they're thinking it's either the coolant temp sensor or a chip. Anyone know how i can find out if my car has one of those chips?

Thanks!!

make sure your air temp sensor is hooked up. I know from experiance that if thats not hooked up, there is a considerable diference in gas mileage. the coolant temp sensor on a GT is kinda under neath the distributor. but im having trouble picturing it in my head right now. but theres no reason why the sensor shouldnt be hooked up or faulty. is your factory water temp gauge reading ok?

speaking of this, i may need to replace my coolant temperature sensor. when i start my car in the cold, it doesn't idle up like it should.
