I have an extra set of 16" 7gc rims that came with my car with no rubber. I did some calculations and 225/45r16 is very close in diameter to 205/55r15 as to not mess with my speedo readings. Is it possible for these tires to fit without hitting suspension/fenders/wheelwell? Anyone know how wide I can go? Anything helps. Thanks!

finding a 225/45R16 tire is near impossible these days unless its a track tire.

a 225/50R16 will rub on the rear of the wheelwell.

there's no reason i see to going wider than 225 really even though you can fit a 235 on there. 215 wide tires is optimal even for a 217hp Integra Type R from the factory. unless your putting out mad crazy hp and have a turbo. but even then you can do other suspension mods to put power to the ground

Go 205/50/16 and call it good. Cheaper and looks better.

Can the 225s fit with spacers? I want to corner like a beast. Do you think the 205s will hold up well? Possibly go 205s with lower profile?

On corners rated 25mph I've been able to go close to 60mph without losing traction with 205's (stock GT tire specs). Of course, I have Eibach lowering springs and ST sway bars. Been wanting to go with 225-235 spec tires with wheels but a lightweight set of wheels are hard to come by with our wheel pattern.
