1: it all looks too easy to be true...

2: I never liked their logo

3: fully bespoke = awesome

4: Everyone is too poor on here to try them out so we wouldnt be able to get a large pool of users

its coooooold out.

got a couple things done over the holiday time.

First of them being the passing along of the RECARO confetti's

last pic of them before I ripped them out

sad wave frown.gif but they have gone to a very good (and pretty local to me) home

then went seat fitting/shopping

Also, my Braille battery is shot. Ive had it about 4 years now so thats not too bad but it adds another cost to the winter push

the surprise is in full effect and the process is in motion. im friggin excited

I have no plans of making one this year. I had put out a post asking for pictures (ones that meet my unreachable quality standards) on the FB page. 260+ comments (90%) pictures, maybe only 1 or 2 worthwhile pictures.
Ill get an earlier jump on it for next year so it will ship and arrive well before the holidays. That should give me more than enough time to collect pictures. Also worth noting that I personally wont be grabbing pictures from the COTM winners more so just what I think is a good looking (also taking into consideration people who were in the previous years calendar)

Winter is upon us and I have a few tasks ahead of me for the winter; tracking down the gas leak and re-assessing the brake system to make sure that it will be solid for the track next year. Going to look into new AP racing 2 piece rotors for the front. I absolutely need to find an off the shelf solution for rotors.

Im also having issues with 2nd gear synchros so I will need to grab a spare trans (hopefully with LSD) to act as a spare if something happens and I lose second.

There is one big surprise that (finances willing) I can get done this winter. Its an idea I have had for the past while that is closer to fruition and will hopefully be another "one of a kind" piece on the car. Im REAAALY excited about it and how it will turn out.

Winter list:
Fuel tank/lines
Brakes
Transmission
Surprise

if anything it would be something in the knuckle/wheel area. What rims did you warp? Rotors could be adding to it but chancing are you would be able to hear that slightly when turning the wheel.
Wheel bearing change is a must. Id say the root of the problem is there. Did you check for any clumped up dirt that might be throwing off balance?

yes it will fit.

When retaining topmount cooler, using a ST202 brace on a 205 wont work. But in your case, which is the reverse scenario. It will fit no problem.

so many tempting items.

question on a couple items not listed:
Whats to become of the front splitter RTP made for you?
Do you have a lexan rear window for the hatch?

That price range is what I got quoted for custom one-off coilovers from Penske. The price isnt unimaginable, it's just odd seeing it next to a name that isnt as well known in the states.

Suspension setup always seems like a dark art to me (along with aero) and sometimes I wonder if I would be able to tell the difference between my $1.7k setup vs a $5k setup. In the end, you work with what you have.

Id love to see these go to someone in the states so I could give them a try

QUOTE (slavie @ Sep 14, 2017 - 10:12 PM) *
Welp, I'll save the next guy the trouble of doing the research.

This is a Vortech supercharger for a 2AZ Scion Tc/Camry. (Yes, this is a TRD one, and Vortech was the OEM to TRD, so this is a vortex supercharger) There are no injectors, electronics, or original mounting brackets included.

I do not know what condition this one is in (seller claims it's great), but generally these SC's need a rebuild every 50k mi, and the rebuild kit is $200-300 for parts alone.

This is essentially what's for sale, just used:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-VORTECH-SUPERC...T-/253129779600

thats what I figured it was but with the title saying "roots" I was a little thrown off

QUOTE (mastaspl1nta @ Sep 14, 2017 - 5:00 PM) *
I pulled it off a 5sfe; it runs fine on our cars; just tune accordingly!

then its a centrifugal supercharger, that is if it is what slavie posted above

having better seats and belts will have you sliding around alot less. Not having to worry about keeping your body straight lets you focus more on the wheel and give you a better feeling of how the car is pitching and rotating

make the rear rotate.

The car is fine, you are the fridge, keep racing.

i have F1.5 R2.5

Unlimited alignment at Firestone so I can go in twice a day and make changes. You should just get out on track more before worrying about specs more than you already are.

I TL;DR slavies response but he covered most of it.
R888's are fine, you want tires that you can hear, you wont be able to hear slicks.
Yellows should be fine, just cool the brakes a bit more.

You should really get your car weighed and corner balanced. Your chassis and swap are odd and it would be helpful to figure out what you are working with

Im trying to stay within the boundaries of retaining a clean looking car and not get TOO race car. I think a cage, front splitter and a wing would still keep me within those boundaries. Maybe someday I will be able to afford a respray and a re-do of the hood

Winding down a bit on everything and recouping some $ for some projects later.
This winter will be just tidying up things and messing around with my diffuser a bit.
Still waiting on the TC105Ns to get in, I had hoped to get a couple track days in this fall but if that doesnt happen, not a big deal. I just want to live life sans car nonsense for a bit. This will probably be the last update for a little while.
