And when comparing current prices, it's the same or less. laugh.gif

Has anyone else been watching the news for these cars? Looks like Toyota understated them again. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, 1/4 mile in 12.3 seconds, 1.07g on the skidpad, all on street tires. Still not buying one because broke, but it looks like it actually will be a truly good sports car unlike the RC-F or lame (although beautiful) LC500.

Please don't make duplicate posts, that makes more work for me. laugh.gif It seems like you noticed the thread right below this one so I'm sure this is not new information to you but it never hurts to post this information in more places:

New forums members are part of a "trial" group whose posts are kept invisible until moderator approved as part of spambot control. After a certain number of approved posts, you will be promoted to a full member with full posting privileges, although the number seems to vary. I check each forum section twice daily to see if there are any pending posts but posts in old threads (such as your first three posts) won't show up and I have to manually search for them, which is why I didn't see them until you posted this thread. For any issues with your posts not showing up after a certain period of time, don't hesitate to message myself, Rusty, or presure2 and we can get it taken care of for you. thumbsup.gif

I found your posts and got them approved before making my way down to your thread. Sometimes it just takes me a little bit of time to get back on the forum but I will always approve posts as soon as I see them. Rusty and presure2 aren't all that active anymore so probably best just to send me a message if one of your posts is taking a little bit to show up.

I had to do your harness in a hurry so I wouldnít be surprised if thereís a bad connection in it. Iíd be happy to take it back and fix it if my other harness gets your car started.

Really? Damn... I thought I was tweaking, that's why I kept asking you about how long it took to come up.

Yup, weíre getting about 250 miles to a tank. Less if Brigette drives it more.

For scientific reasons, I would like to know the outcome of driving near Luke on the highway.

ECU is a redtop one from Richee3 and was working up to when he pull it and sent it to me. Also, swapped it with my greytop ECU and still does the same thing too. I can see my greytop ECU being bad from seller but the redtop was in his car and working perfectly fine.

Tr00f. ECU is confirmed in good working order as I ran it myself for a while before sending it to Chee La. Lemme know about the harness, I can ship it out to you any time. I wanna see this thing started more than you do at this point.

This one is like 08/94, if memory serves correctly. I bought Supra Turbo when Supra Turbo was cheaper, wouldnít buy one again at todayís prices. Especially not $175k or whatever one just sold for...

So wait, when did this ST205 come around? redface.gif

QUOTE (Box @ Apr 15, 2019 - 2:43 PM) *
It's also in my second favourite Celica colour, just behind Iris Pearl. I guess this happened sometime between January and March since it'd have just turned 25, guess will have to go back a few pages.

It came around by chance, certainly not intentionally. Right car, right price, right here in town. Happened back in December, perhaps the only fed legal ST205 before the 25 year rule hit. I'm not a fan of cars that didn't come in legally when it's my money on the line.

QUOTE (NgoFcukinWay @ Apr 15, 2019 - 8:07 AM) *
ST205 needs coilovers.

Lol it's actually lowered already, but the way it sat when I put it back on the ground doesn't look like it. No coilovers for the 'Four.

QUOTE (navseal345 @ Apr 15, 2019 - 7:13 PM) *
Yes, that's what Daniel told the government. Lmao

See above. wink.gif Nothing against any of the cars that were already here but I would never have bought this one if it wasn't here legally. I'm definitely not wealthy enough to risk a car getting crushed.

Lame update incoming!

Today I replaced the fuel pump in the BEAMS. No idea yet if any change will be made but if it doesn’t, then this turd will stay slow forever. Getting pretty tired of messing with it. I won’t find out for a month or so if it’s made a difference, since I’m not allowed to drive any of the fun cars. frown.gif

Last weekend I did some paint correction and ceramic coating on the GT4. It’s not perfect but at least it’s got some protection!

Also bought some Redline 75W90NS for the trans but we haven’t swapped it out yet. That’s a job for the wife next weekend while I supervise since apparently I’m not allowed to turn wrenches for a while now either. (I did the fuel pump while she was grocery shopping. wink.gif )

But most importantly, we got a special delivery for the ‘Four.

Not the Gram Lights I wanted, but those are still on the to-do list. We just like these Enkeis more than the Lehrmeisters that came on the car.

So did the new harness work/ solve the issues? Such a cliffhanger.

I honestly donít know yet myself. The engine turns over and starts quicker with the new harness and battery back up front but all Iíve done is swap the harness in and burp the coolant where I had to disconnect the heater core hoses, then pulled the GT4 into the garage. First drive will be tomorrow.

Sunday update!

Last weekend I picked up a new BEAMS harness from Aspen so this weekend I got it swapped into the car and moved the battery back up to the engine bay. Last summer I spent more time than I care to admit diagnosing the harness for a couple of different issues. First and foremost has been an ongoing issue where the ECU was pulling timing after the engine warmed up. I assumed knock sensor, ran a new wire external to the rest of the harness, tested all my connections, and never could find the issue. The second issue is that sometimes it acts as though the alternator isnít charging. A couple of years ago I had an alternator burn up and cooked the end of the wire so I had to cut and splice new wires, so presumably thatís the cause of this issue. Either way, thatís two pretty big issues in my harness that have been a thorn in my side so when Matt told me he had a harness available, I jumped on it. Plus itís nice to have the trunk space back.

I missed part of the battery tie down at the junkyard, so that sucks. Gotta get that fixed ASAP.

For the GT4, no big update. Finally got around to putting some Lexus door strikers, small and subtle but a nice touch.

Then I pulled the seats for a thorough vacuuming and steam cleaning, then I had some fabric and vinyl dye so I dyed the top of the back seats black again. Unfortunately theyíve gotten a little faded but it was a quick and easy fix. Then I tossed these seats back in it instead.

Got some free JDM money from the seats though!

Next weekend will be a thorough wash, clay bar, and polishing followed by ceramic coat.

Washing and waxing the ĎFour and taking it in for a paint estimate. And eating pizza, but not that good Chicago pizza.

Might be a dumb question but have you checked the throttle cable? It may need adjustment or it might have a slight burr on the cable. Itís been forever since Iíve had a 5S but I believe thereís an adjustment screw on the throttle body as well, although I think I remember that being addressed already.

Picked up a harness from Matt over the weekend. I can vouch for him as a seller if anyone needs any BEAMS parts! Thanks again for the harness, Matt.

Well they work well because they are new & soft & stuff... next year maybe not.

So far these have been 100% better in 2wd (aka one wheel drive, rear diff is only lockable in 4wd) than the garbage Uniroyals were in 4wd. These were actually better in the snow than the Uniroyals were on some dry warm sunny days. laugh.gif

No just kidding. Whatever it is I hope you arw Ok!

It’s nothing that bad or serious, just a follow up from an accident several years ago. It’ll be nice to get it done and over with but the timing sucks for spending the money and everything we have going on at work.

Found out on Wednesday that the KO2ís on the 4Runner are blizzard approved. Had a coworker get stranded down south and everyone else got scared and left work early so I had to weave around all the wrecks on the interstate until they closed it down then navigate the backroads in zero visibility just to pick him up but I never lost grip once. Impressed so far.
