It's been over 6 years since I've join this club. Always been a big fan of 6th gens but wasn't able to own my very own. Today... it might just change. Since I sold my wifes car I now get to get a project for me. I'm heading to Nebraska to pick up JDUB's 94 celica GT. Not my dream white 99 GT but the best thing to it for what I can afford. Been up this morning planning this trip, hope all goes well. Be back tonight and pictures hopefully up tomorrow. Wish me luck! I'm finally truly going to be a part of the 6gc family! oh yeah!

Thanks to "Tonay" and "99GT" for taking the trip with me to pick her up. After 12 hours of driving she's finally home. We got back last night but i had to go to the hospital til 4am so I couldn't post any pictures.

She's nothing new and extremely clean but she is 17 years old. Best thing is she's rust free besides rust being on scratches and dings. Paints faded but she'll need a new make over someday anyways. It's definitely a good car for me to start off with. here she goes.....

Yep, that's my 2010 camry se in the back as well but now that's the wifes car. I'm excited, can't wait to start wrenching!

Benefits of the 94, NOT OBDII! You can do so much more with a car that isn't OBDII than one that is. You'll like it better then the 99. Plus, You've got the sexier front end anyway! tongue.gif Too bad it doesn't have the 94-95 spoiler though. At least it comes with an exhaust, its lowered, and it has 7th gen rims!

Is that a standard colour? Never seen it before, That's not meant to be gunmetal grey is it? I think it needs some metallic flakes when you get it painted biggrin.gif

RabidTRD- True about the front end. I've always though i'd do a facelift but for some reason this front end is growing on me! I might just keep her like that. I'm liking the spoilerless at the moment too. JDUB just mailed me the spoiler so i'll have a option to have her on or not later.

JDUB- Thanks bro, I'll be on the look out for it. But no worrys, I'll take good care of her. You've got your 99 to worry about now. lol.

team_omega- Yep, in time. I'll be counting on the MN guys to help out!

delusionz- Yep, it's an OEM color. The color's called "Topaz Metallic" I love this color! It's not too often you see this color but they're around. only 94-97 celica's came in this color I believe. When I repaint I'm planning on keeping it OEM so we'll see about more metallic flakes.

Smaay- is that the official name of the color, anthracite? I got my info off of celica paint codes

JDUB- It's all good, whenever you get the chance later this month.

I call mine, "Catfish." For some reason, it grew on me too. I wanted the GT4 front... but then I saw one in person, and idk. I actually like that it distinguishes my Celica from the later years.

Anthracite is the color of my rims. It's a dark metallic grey. It's almost a greyish silver. Maybe the camera doesn't pick up the color well, but it looks brownish grey to me.

My ex said it did, and that it was cute. Made me want to change the front end... lmao. But I accepted that it did and kinda fell in love with the 94-95 front end. She then said she was going to paint it like a Wishcash. frown.gif
