I was wondering if people could list the websites of some good places to get high quality wheels at fair prices. Im looking for a large selection because I want to find a set of 17" bronze wheels but can't seem to find but 1 or 2 styles or manufacturers per site that fit the bill. Hopefully someone knows a few sites with a big selection to choose from. I know of www.tirerack.com but they don't have much selection. There must be a rim warehouse website with every or most major manufacturers that offers wheel/tire packages. Will any 17" x 7-8" 5 lug wheel fit a '97 ST? confused.gif (N E one else notice how many shi++y performance sites there are) To bad there is no site that gives you a break down of the cheapest prices offered by websites on parts like mysimon.com does for other products like T.V.s, that way you don't have to check 1000 sites cause all prices are listed together for compare...unless there is one someone knows of

I can answer the question regarding wheel size for the 97 ST.
The most important sizes you need to know are:
- 5x100 lug;
- 35...38mm offset.
Thereafter, you can go with 17", 18", etc. rims with either a 7", 7.5" or 8" width.

BTW: Know what you mean about '...how many shi++y performance sites..'.
The other annoying thing is those that DO NOT REPLY!

As far as sites are concerned...
I can't remember off hand the name of the sites but the links are in the threads related to tires/rims in this the Suspension/Handling section.

BTW: Didn't the 6GC GT4 come with bronze rims?

I'm looking for a set of high performance tires at a reasonable price and found Kumho Ecsta Supra 712
215/40ZR-17 83W B for $95 a tire and the review that http://www.discounttiredirect.com/ speaks very well of these, (Kumho has derived the new ultra-high performance Supra 712 from their track-inspired, race winning technology. Featuring the latest in tread compound development and tread design innovation, this tire will make your car handle like it's "on rails.") also I was looking at the Yokohama Parada Spec-2 215/40ZR-17 83W B for $108 a tire. Does anyone have any first hand experience with a tire that they can give me advice on. My 14" Bridgestones don't have near the amount of grip I need and want a tire that grips the road like none other. How about Pirelli P7000 Supersports. These tires will go on a set of 17x7 Konig or Enkei rim set. Thanks for anyones help.

I'm sure that I have read here somewhere that there's a couple of people on the board that have Kumho tires and speak very highly of them.
Yokohama are very good high performance tires but they wear quickly.

95STCelica - according to my spec. sheet:
P.C.D. = 5x100
Offset = 35...38
C/Bore = 54
NOTE: The specs. are for a 1997 European version ST or GT.

Hi Guys!

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/index.jsp

I would choose a MAX Performance tire like Bridgestone Potenza S03 PP & Toyo Proxes T1-S.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/max.jsp

Top tire in Max Performance: Pirelli PZero Nero http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...odel=PZero+Nero
http://www.us.pirelli.com/en_US/tyres/cata...ml?catid=US_UHP

If not, there are better tires for traction, but wear very fast like the Nitto NT555 Extreme, Toyo Proxes RA1.

I ride on the Toyo RA1 for months now. Very good in the rain.
