Hi guys, I figured there was no harm in making a build thread for my daily. I found this car 3 months ago, 6 hours south of my home town and just couldn't pass it up. The car was just too good to be true. No rust, low miles and in just beautiful condition, with all the comforts needed for a daily. The build will be very slow seeing this is just my daily, my main project is another vehicle. I have a goal of making the car appear as close to a true GT4 WRC as possible, I'm sure I will get some hate because of this but it won't bother me any. Seeing we never got them in the US I thought it would be a nice change, no plans on a 3sgt swap (yet). So let me bring you up too speed.

Haha thanks guys. Not much of an update. But i had some spare time today at work. So I decided to start on the trunk set up for the suspension. For those that are not familar with how our product works it is a fully threaded strut body, with either a double billow, or sleeve type air spring. This will have 30 way adjustable dampers front and rear, along with front camber plates.. The management will be our latest 3H system, with hight sensors. Each bag pressure will be individually adjustable, of course there is also presets. This is essentially the same set up I have on my Evo Not only will this be lighter then the factory suspension, it is fully adjustable, and out performs coilovers!

Figured I'd share a bit of the other project. Here is my weekend car. 2006 Mitsubishi Evo 9. Bought this car from the original owner 3 years ago 100% bone stock.. Now it is far from it, car made 563whp and 417wtrq on the 6262 turbo at 32 psi 93oct this year. The car is currently under the knife (even though it was parked running flawlessly) with the plans of 650whp larger turbo, injectors and different clutch, trans and final drive. Also I have a goal of getting the car at 2800lbs. Currently the car weights 3020lbs with a 1/2 tank of gas. So many more carbon fiber parts (Like a full roof)! It moves along nicely as it is, I'm very excited to see what it makes come spring!

Damn, your Evo is a straight up monster Looking at that "after work" picture of the Celica, I think the air suspension and body pieces are the last things the car needs to look perfect. Do you do any shows or events (with either of your cars) ?
Thanks guys, yea I go to about every event I can with the Evo. Sonic is about a weekly thing seem to get a good number of races in there. The Celica hasn't been to much yet, however I have a feeling it's gonna be a tuff decision between which one to take after the winter.
Basically I want to keep the celica simple. My plans for the moment are the following
-JDM fenders
-projector headlamps
-Recaro confetti seats
-99 confetti rear seats
-steering wheel
-rear spats (not sure which to go with yet)
-install the skirts
-install the lip
-have the hood, bumper fenders repainted and blended into the a pillars, and doors
-install air suspension.
- enkei RC-T4 wheels (maybe)
-GT4 front and rear brakes.
I hope to have this all done over the course of the winter. But we shall see!

Sadly not much has been going on with the Celica. I have the air kit ran and wired, however I have not had time to install the sleeves, and double bellows themselves. I have put 2,000 miles on it in the past 2 months (Have been driving it a ton) so haven't got much time to work on it. The Evo has had all of my attention and money for the new forward facing turbo set up I am installing. However come Monday the front clip of the Celica is getting removed and freshly painted. This will include the hood, fenders, bumper cover, front lip, and side skirts! Pretty excited and at that point the body should be 100% flawless. No dents, scratches, chips ect! Here's a couple pictures to pass the time.

Yes I do work for Airlift however I am Not a sales man and that's not the reason I say that.. We have done many test on the track and street to prove this. I understand it's not for everyone, however anyone that has the idea that our air suspension can not perform is uneducated on the design and typically the over all function of how a suspension works.
On a side note parts are at paint! Pretty excited to get them back. After the second set of JDM fenders arrived damaged I gave up.. I was tired of waiting and wasting money. So out of my two sets of wrecked JDM fenders i made a template of the side marker lights. That way i could trace out the exact location and shape of the hole I would have to cut into the fenders. It turned out perfect. Now I am relying on the the body shop to properly shave the large front USDM marker light hole. So the car looks 100% correct. Also have the JDM/EDM rear licences plate section. Just need it painted and installed.
Ill post up some pictures hopefully Saturday after receiving parts back from paint.
Pictures from paint!! Gonna pull the car in the shop clean it up and install everything. Maybe if I have time I'll get it on air, seeing it is winter time.. Would be nice to adjust the hight incase we get heavy snow fall.

As far as the car goes, worked a while today getting it all put back together. And man does it look nice:) I'm extremely happ! I have everything on and gaped properly (I'm way to picky on this). Just need to put the side skirts on tomorrow, and I will post pictures. I have decided against the C-one front lip . It fits great and all but something about it just don't look right to me. It's just not the look I'm going for I suppose. Any one looking to buy it ?
Worked on the celica some more today, decided that the black plastic vent pieces on the hood, and upper/lower bumper grill assembly's were showing their age. So before install I decided to prep them and spray them a nice satin black. Turned out looking like brand new! Here are some pics.

And well a couple sneak peaks:) got her washed up and the skirts installed today. Used all the new OEM under clips and front screws/ guards. Then ran 3m two face tape down the leading edge with some prep bonding agent. They fit nice and flush (have I mentioned how much body gap bugs me lol) Ignore the painters tape just want to help that two face tape cure over night.

Celica looks great! I feel sorry for all the people up north that can't drive their fun car year round or if it's an only car that heavily influences what they get.
I'm surprised you found a relatively nice car that runs and drives for $300, I figured those days were long gone thanks to the government and their stupid cash for clunkers program but I guess there's been enough later model used cars added into the market to make it happen.
So I have some nice subtle carbon fiber parts on the way for the exterior, honestly I had no idea anyone even offered these peices. I'm pretty excited to say the least however they will take a little over a month to get to me Meanwhile I figured it was time to start focusing on the interior . Decided to order a hub for the steering wheel I have and finally get that installed. As for seats I am still debating what I want to do . I really want the Recaro confetti seats however I have these perfect condition leather and suede Evo9 Recaro seats I could install. Either way plan on having rears cost of upholstered to match the fronts. Really trying to get the car where I want it before the end of January. There is a huge indoor show here in Michigan (AutoRama) in the middle of February, and I would like to attend it.

Well it depends on what look you want, the EVO IX seats would kind of modernize the interior somewhat whereas the JDM confetti seats would be most excellently 90's. If you're like me and like having airbags you could do the 7th gen steering wheel swap, at least that's what I was going to do before I sold it.
Yea, exactly what I was thinking with interiors also. I want the car to look era correct, which is why I'm going to hold off and continue searching for nice confetti seats. As far as the wheel go I'm not a big fan of the 7th gen wheel, or maybe it's because everyone has them. No airbag does not bother me as long as it's equity with a collapsible hub. I was thinking a 94 GT4 wheel would suit it well, but finding one not trashed is difficult. I really think the style of this Nardi wheel is just right. Making cruise work and mount maybe tricky, but I'm sure it won't be too difficult.
Have you seen that Mike is selling a set of covers? You may need to pick up a set of '96+ seats to make them work but that shouldn't be too expensive.

The '94 ST205 or the '99 wheel would be different and model correct, though the '99 is similar to the wheel used in 7th gens and a lot of the later Toyotas. The Nardi wheel looks good and if removing the airbag isn't a concern then might as well use it since you like it and have it already.
On a side note. Does anyone have a lead on where I can find a set of these TTE mirrors? I Need Them!

Having a difficult time deciding on what to do with the front of the car. Part of me thinks the Euro splitters is all I need to make the car flow well, then another part of me really wants to order the Eurou Front lip simply because it is my favorite. I am scoring a Euro rear bumper lip this week which I am pretty excited about. Have been looking for one for some time now. Also found the window rain guards I have looked long and hard for, however it's looking like it will be over a month before I receive them . Also came across some beautiful Recaro SR3 confetti front seats, however with the holidays and recent evo parts I just don't have the extra $1,100 to make them mine I shall see what I can make happen though..

Eurou lip costs about 700-800 shipped and several weeks of waiting just in case you wanted to know. why don't you just use the C-one front lip?
I've always liked the TOM's Magic lip the most, which is was meant for facelifted bumpers but it works on pre-facelifted ones too:
Though it'd look better if the openings in the sides of the GT-Four bumper were filled in and smoothed out, but you've already painted the car so that wouldn't be feasible. Then again the C-ONE lip leaves them exposed as well. I think I like the Euro more than the C-ONE though.
Yea the Toms lip looks good on the face lift bumper, I'm not a huge fan of it on the GT4 front. The sides do seem to flow well with the side skirts however. Eurou lip it is, Hopefully I like it.
I think the Euro lip will look good, would look really good with some clear turn signal indicators. The biggest jump in the bumper to the lip is next to the indicators and the orange draws your attention to it, clear would make those blend in with the rest of the lighting and wouldn't draw in attention to the area. A European member, Wolf or Wolfie? they had a Porsche 944, used to make and sell clear lenses moulded off the factory originals and they looked really good. At least that's what I'd do anyway.
Right, lucky the car has the body line going down the door and quarter that seems to match the leading edge of the Eurou Lip (Or at least very close). I wish I could get the Eurou skirts and the Zapt rear bumper. This set up all in all looks the best. But the Version 1 skirts are impossible to find along with the zapt rear cover. Not to mention how much I HATE fiberglass and would prefer to have as little of it as possible on my car.

Yea, I'm not sure if I am a big fan of the clear indicators or not yet. Personally the orange looks fine to me. The OEM clear lamps looks good as well, but I'm not a fan of the crystal ones. They remind me of something you would instal on an accord back in the early 2000's. When I installed the front end I purchased all new OEM orange lamps, so I don't think i will be changing them just yet. But we shall see.
wolfie's own is not really oem just reproduced as semi clear similar to the OEM amber ones with the same transaparency just white instead. But sure yea I don't think you could go wrong either way. I also have the amber indicators and side markers as well as spares.
below you can see the difference with placing an amber bulb inside which pretty much makes the whole thing amber and then clear bulbs on clear. really is a preference between preface and facelift concept of amber vs clear.

so you would basically match the OEM frosted clear with Wolfie (Classic JDM), and the OEM crystal clear with the Autoart Clear (Modern)

No major updates. Ordered my new wheels yesterday, having them built to my specs so it will take a couple weeks before I get them. Also ordered the new tires Toyo Proxes P1sport's so hopefully they are as nice as everyone claims they are! Once the wheels and tires are installed I'll be bringing it up to the shop to finally put it on bags. Hoping everything looks good together. I have never really seen the style of wheel I got on a 6g (I'm sure they are out there just not that common) I'm confident that I will be the only one with these particular wheels seeing they are being custom made. Also got a nice 2.25" tanabe resinator, and Tanabe oval Hyper medallion muffler. I will be Fabing up a 2.25" downpipe back exhaust. It might free up a little bit of power and pick up a mpg or 2, but most of all it should look nice and remain nice a quite. Paint work will then get done for the rear lip/bumper, and license plate surround, she should then be ready in time for the Autorama show at the end of Feb! A lot to do in not a lot of time!
what wheels are they if you dont mind me asking.
The TRD Pros are awesome. We are planning on picking one up when we get our '06 Limited a little closer to paid off. I would take a Trail Premium just as soon as a TRD Pro but the wife really wants a Quicksand or orange Pro. The 1GR is underpowered but just as reliable as you'd expect a Toyota to be.
Nice! When the new 4runner first came out I thought the front was hideous. But it quickly grew on me and now I like it, a lot. My coworker has the Orange TRD Pro. Orange looks really sweet. So jealous. I hear what you mean, I would like to now get a ride that can just go anywhere, literally. Look forward to see which one you get.
I don't see the point in buying a new car off the lot unless for some reason it's exactly what you're wanting or you get a stupid good deal and it's a compromise you're ok with, ordering is the way to go.

Broke down and purchased a set of "Mint" condition Confetti Recaro front seats! The seller was nice enough to take many pictures, and complete videos of each seat! They truly are flawless. They got shipped out last night, via ship. They will take up to 7 weeks to get to me. Hopefully that gives me enough time to fine the proper confetti rear seats. I imagine they are hard to come by, and the price tag will reflect that I'm sure .

I'm now pondering the idea of doing the brakes. I'm not really sure which route I am gonna go just yet. Seems like there is a ton of write ups on the GT4 front and rear brake swap, then again I can't find one that tells me what exactly works..
From my understanding I need the following
-St205 front/rear calipers
-BRZ/FRS front brake rotors
-St205 rear brake rotors
-St205 pads
-Custom lines
Then of course the mounting location on the front calipers need to be shaved down, and the mounting holes in the hub need to be taped... Then again you read a different write up and get different information lol. Kinda aggravating, Think I'm just gonna wing it. I don't have a doubt I could find a way to make it work.
The rears are are the easy part.
Supra TT pads are the same as ST205 pads fyi, just to save you from ordering brake pads from the UK lol
The fronts are another thing, but still not too complicated.
Shave the caliper tabs.
Drill and tap the hub hole.
Drill the caliper holes to accommodate the new, larger dia, caliper bolts (that is IF you drill out the hub holes. you CAN just tap the existing holes, but specs for that are not listed in the DIY thread because I havent gotten any from others who did it that way)

Personally, I would prefer to have this Wilwood kit in the front than the GT4 brakes for a couple of different reasons. That's just my own preference though.

The cost of the Wilwood kit is the major downfall compared to GT4 calipers, but the ease of install can't be beat. Keep in mind that they are MASSIVE. After seeing them in person, myself ands few others can confirm that you'll need a very low offset wheel to clear them, but I'm guessing that your new setup should work. But that's my long term plan, Wilwood calipers in the front and ST205 rear calipers.
Tao is the guy to talk to about the Wilwood kit. He's the one that introduced me to them and he's been running this kit for a couple of years now.

yes, i can definitely vouch for the wilwood as I saw Tao use them in action.
He chased me down RT71 at the midwest meet and forced me to overwork my tiny St brakes.
mine got so heated than my brakes faded and i missed the turn to go into the rest shetler where as he was inches from my bumper but literally tapped his brakes with easy and made the turn as if he was making a regular turn. totally worth it.

One last thing. So 97 Supra TT calipers are the same as GT4 calipers correct? I can get them for $100 each brand new!

Have a ton of parts on the way. Just waiting for them to arrive ordered all the brake components to go to the GT4 set up. Hope it all is correct. Have the following on the way.
-GT4 calipers (front and rear)
-EBC GT4 rear rotors and brake pads
-EBC Supra front brake pads
-Centic sloted and drilled front BRZ rotors 292mm (I believe)
Hopefully it will be everything I need! Looking forward to getting everything. Still unsure of what color to do the calipers.
the supra TT rear pads are the same for the GT-4 rears also (I just saw them left out on your list)
also dont forget about the bridge seals in the calipers if you plan to powder coat them!
Could do the calipers to match the body colour, that or being the car is neutral coloured you could technically choose any colour you like as an accent colour to carry throughout the car.
Sadly got an email from EBC about shipping the rear rotors.. They wanted an additional $180 for shipping. So I canceled that, couldn't justify it. So I'm still in need of rear rotors
More stuff. Got my beautiful steering wheel and Works Bell hub. Looks amazing, excited to install it! Also got my Tanabe Hyper Medalion muffler, and resonator. Exhaust is getting done now. Tires and license plate garnish waiting for install. Still waiting on the wheels, should be here Monday, along with a set of JDM Projector head lamps. Carbon parts should be here by the end of next week along with the seat rails and sliders. The seats are still about a month out:/

Got the exhaust installed. Sounds really really good, better then I expected. Really quite, but a nice deep tone while taking off. No rasp at all. While cruising at a steady speed you can hardly hear it in the cabin.

Looks like I'm going to be picking up some SS_III front spats, does any one know if these fit the GT4 front end well? I have seen them installed before and they look great, at least in pictures. I wasn't sure if there would be any gaps though, between the bumper and spats.
After having trouble with the company I purchased the GT4 calipers through, and trouble getting the rear rotors (For a decent price) I decided to say screw this, canceled the order on the calipers and purchased the Wilwood kit. Hopefully they get here in a timely manor. In the future I will still upgrade the rear brakes to units from a GT4.
On a side note, has anyone ever put a 2j in a 6th gen?
There is a 1JZ swapped Celica that was/is used for drifting (the same one posted on your Facebook page.) A 2JZ is possible but not a good idea for a few different reasons. However, I wouldn't mind seeing a 4G63 swapped Celica as you mentioned on Facebook.

Not to mention all the extensive fabrication to get it done, honestly if you want RWD you're better starting off with something RWD. You should get a Mitsubishi Starion since they already came with a 4G63 everywhere else but here, so swapping one in should be easy I imagine. Now that would be a fun car, it's still on my list of cars to get.

While swapping a 4G63 in a Starion is very simple that's not really what I'm looking for. Fabrication, time, hardwork and money is fine as long as it's worth it.. A Rwd 4g63 powered 6gen with Gt4 exterior conversion is about as abnormal you can get and that is what I like. Anyways just spitballing ideas. Not something I'd like to take on right now anyways. More focused on just enjoying the car this summer.

I think it'd be awesome but it is a lot of work. There's a project thread around here somewhere in the project section that had some good info on converting to RWD though I think they mostly used it for drag racing. The carbon fiber parts look really nice.

So it was time to finally get this thing on air. Needless to say it was far from a bolt in ordeal, but gladly I'm finished with the front. A bit of issues that I ran into was clearance clearance and well clearance.. Tire to fender clearance, wheel to shock-body clearance, and air spring to strut tower clearance. What a pain.. So originally I planed on running a double bellow (D.B) air spring in the front of the car and a sleeve set up in the rear. This is ideal for a few different reasons (Not going to get into great detail at this moment). Well with the D.B front air spring installed it was a little to close for comfort to the inside of the strut tower. So I decided to crimp up a sleeve for the front the same ones I plain to use for the rear. The sleeve is more narrow but also sits lower on the damper body. Free'd up a lot of room in the strut tower, but then notice the wheel to bag clearance was too close.. As I said the the D.B is fat and short, the sleeve is skinny and long. So the D.B air spring actually sits above the tire in the wheel well, so there is not clearance issues there, only with the inner strut tower due to it being a larger diameter. So back to the D.B. I had the upper camber plates set to -2 degrees, so I pulled that back out to 0 and that free'd up more room in the strut tower for the D.B. The tightest measurement at this point between the bag and shock tower was 20mm, and seeing this bag will only grow a maximum 4mm over all (2mm each side) and factor a total possible 10mm (5mm each direction) of strut movement (yes this is more then it will actually move but I like to play it on the safe side) so that means I should at all times have a minimum of 13mm of clearance. Tight, yes but it will work! NOW another issue.... After a full cycle through from full extension to max compression I saw a whooping 74mm of stroke.. On a 114mm damper body... to say the least it's far from ideal. The only thing that was restricting the stroke was compression and it was only due to tire-fender clearance. Now that I have the camber set to 0 on the upper mounts I had no room for the tires to go inside of the wheel wells. So I need more camber adjustment at this point. So I removed the lower mount from the damper body and chucked it up in our bridge port to machine the upper mount hole an addition 6mm in, to have adjust ability at the damper body- to hub location. This does a couple things, gives me the camber I want/need without sacrificing bag to strut tower clearance, and have more camber adjustments. After installation I found all the way in gives the car more then enough camber to provide 111mm of suspension stroke, which is phenomenal on a 114mm damper body. With having the camber adjustment at the lower mount this moves the inside of my wheel closer to the damper body, because the wheel is not moving with damper body on the camber adjustment. Luckily there is still enough room for there to not be an issue, and full in is a total of -4 degrees of camber at ride height, at air out its just about -5.. This is way more then I intend to run. I would like around -2.5- -2.8 in the front, which will still allow me to have full suspension travel! Anyways the front is pretty much wrapped up. Here are a couple pictures. I will be tackling the rears today.
As I said before we don't just throw bags on cars to slam them, if that was the case this would have been much easier . A large reason you can't judge performance and handling of all air suspensions off from one air kit. There is a lot of things we do to set our suspension apart from the rest.

18 hours into this suspension setup and its officially finished. Feel like I'm talking to myself here so I'm not going to get into great detail on the rear. I ended up being able to run a D.B rear air spring which is great! Had to do some modifications to the inner strut tower to provide clearance for the air spring. She gets low rides ridiculously nice as well. Keep in mind this set up still has 30 way adjustable damping front and rear, front adjustable camber plates, pillow ball upper mounts, and spherical bearing rear mounts. Nice and stiff pitching it into a corner but also soaks up the horrible Michigan roads much nicer then the coil-overs did. Front struts are 3.8 lbs lighter per side, and rear 4.9lbs per side. The control system, lines, harness, compressor, tanks ect. weighs 24.8lbs, so over all this system is 7.4lbs heaver then coil-overs. Complete ride height adjustable at a touch of a button. Something many people don't understand is that you can adjust individual bag pressure live. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Here are some picture of it air'd out

Well I received my Wilwood BBK and man does it look nice. All tough I'm not a huge fan of the caliper color, so I decided to have that changed. I sent the rotors and calipers off to the paint shop. I wanted the calipers color matched to the car, I also have black Wilwood vinyls to install on them! I also had the rotor hats done a nice satin black, so they don't get rusty. Turned out really nice. hoping to install them tonight! My Eurou front lip will finally be here tomorrow, after test fitting that will be off to paint as well. Seat brackets are coming Thursday, but my Recaro seats are still a few weeks out .

Well I met with DHL yesterday to finally get my Eurou front lip, it has been a long time waiting.. Of course it was damaged, 3 long cracks, and 2 spots on the ends where chunks where missing... Really I could have repaired it seeing it was fiberglass but after spending over $600 on it I just was not in the mood. so i refused the shipment and am now contacting RHDJapan to see what we do from here. I really don't feel like waiting another 3 months to get a replacement that lets face it, will most likely be damaged also.. This sucks, not sure what i am gonna do for a front lip now.

No, a spacer would cause issues with the fenders.I'm not that concerned, that distance (hopefully) will never change so clearance is clearance

Thank you! There is currently 3mm of clearance wheel to caliper. I may try a 3mm spacer just to give it some extra room. We shall see:) finally got the brakes bled and good god, this thing stops violently (if you need it to). Very happy with how it feels, I can't wait to hit some AutoX events this summer! between the suspension and brakes this thing should do extermly well.
So far with my luck of getting parts damaged I'm not getting too excited just yet, but my TRD roof spoiler will be delivered today. So fingers crossed.

Not holding my breath on this but it maybe the end of the road with the celica. Just 3 days ago I had someone off me a lot of money for it, and it's enough to persuade me to let it go. I have been itching to get myself in a BNR32 and if this goes through that will be the direction I will go. I guess time will tell. In the mean time I have the car entered in the Tuner Galleria show in Chicago this Saturday. Anyone else gonna be there?
So decided to not let her go just yet. Really haven't got to complete what all I want to do to the car. Now it is time to focus on performance. As tempted I am to drop this build 7 bolt 4G63 in the car, I just think it will be a bit more then what I'm looking to. I have decided to take the easy route and stick to a 3sgte. I'm not positive just yet on the 205 or 215 engine, I plan on buying the swap, and building the motor over the course of this summer, then come next winter I will do the swap. I would like around 500whp, should be enough to have some fun. Many parts are going to be custom fabricated such as the down pipe, aluminum exhaust, I/C piping, turbo manifold ect.. I think I will be going with the FP Xona Rotor 65*64 turbo. Should be an interesting build. I'm looking forward to it.
As far as drive train I will be converting it to AWD, it is not a option in my book to keep the car FWD. How stout is the st205 Trans & Diff? Obliviously with going with a large frame T3 turbo the Trq numbers should hit soft and kept relatively low so that should help save the drive train regardless. Any input would be great.

I hear the fourth gen is the way to go these days, but since you're wanting to do an AWD conversion as well getting a front clip with all the other parts needed for conversion together would probably be the way to go.

The E154f is a pretty stout transmission and should be able to handle 500awhp fairly safely (especially if it's more for highway pulls than dragstrip launches with radials banging gears). Few high hp guys over on alltrac.net use it upwards of 6 and 700awhp. It's the center diff and more often axles that tends to fail on high hp applications though. Overall, no need to be too worried about catastrophic trans failure right off the bat.
The rear diff can take a beating as long as it's in decent shape beforehand and you use quality fluid, as I expect you would.

I will be making a carbon fiber tray and stay to mount the battery in the trunk. Also got a externally kill switch, personally I hate these things, but if you are going to move the battery you need one. Luckily I think that it looks clean where I installed it. I bought a 12gal fuel cell also, This I will be mounting in the trunk, I will be cutting out most of the trunk floor and make a tubular support for the fuel cell. Then the area surrounding the cell will all be carbon fiber as apposed to sheet metal, should help shed some weight. This will all be in preparation for awd that will be coming next winter. Hopefully i will be tackling the mounting and plumbing of the cell this coming weekend.

Lastly I installed my 7th gen short throw shifter, it was great and all but I hate how short the actual shifter itself was. Personally I like tall shifters. So I decided to try something a bit different. I went with a K Tuned unit that extends the shifter, and also relocates it 1" in any direction. Oh my how much I love this setup is unreal. It is simply amazing, moving the shifter closer to the rear of the car is great as well seeing I am tall and typically have the seat all the way back to be in a comfortable driving position. It is also aesthetically pleasing. I will be excited to bring this set up over to the 3sgte/ awd swap.

Wow, that's quite an update! The fuel cell is an interesting touch. Why is an external battery killswitch necessary when relocating the battery? I've honestly never dealt with them, and it seems like that would make it easy for random people to come up to your car and mess with it. But I'm also guessing you don't leave your car out in the open for people to do that!
And when you did the S2000 antenna mod, did you do the chop and glue method, or did you go all out and use a 7th gen antenna base (as in http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=62139 process)?
Things just got serious.
I think for the battery kill switch it's needed under certain forms of sanctioned racing, though on some cars like the Miata the battery is located in the trunk from the factory so who knows maybe they have to add one anyway or not.

Well, as I am sure most of know I put the Celica up for sale. I'm sure this seemed like a very random thing to do, especially seeing how rushed I was to sell the car. It didn't even take a week for the car to sell, and I couldn't be happier with how much. In case you are wonder wtf.. why? I had full intent of completing this build and to have fun with it. The reason being is that my "eleanor" came back up for sale. I tried to buy this car before but it sold a few days before I could make it there. I wasn't letting this happen again. As soon as I saw the car for sale I immediately put a deposit down on it. So here it is my new 1991 Nissan 300zx tt. The car is pretty wild to say the least. The car was completely built by Z1 Motorsports and owned by one of Z1's employees. It's a absolute monster with twin GTX2867's, built block and heads. On 93 it put down a conservative 631/521 to the wheels. I have never bought a modified car before, it's not typically how I do things, but knowing that Z1 is who did every bit of work on this car it doesn't concern me the least. Of course I will be changing some things to make the car my own, but nothing to dramatic. Here's a couple pics.
