6G Celicas Forums _ General Discussion _ My new Toyota Celica SS-lll!

Posted by: SeverX13 Mar 12, 2024 - 8:23 AM

So I made a purchase yesterday that I’ve wanted to make for a long time now, I found an SSlll on and auction site had a small battle and ended up winning, it’s a 1998 and has only 16,000 miles on it! I’m very excited to be picking it up next week! When I had my boosted tangerine I always wanted to have an sslll and finally that dream came true, I’ll hopefully be a bit more active in the forums after almost 15 years! Wow haha. Enjoy the photos!

Yes I was shocked to see no sunroof haha. I always thought that was standard.

But you know what’s less common? A damn 3sge red top service manual, I find everything but haha.

really 16k? hard to believe, they turned back the odometer?

do you have any dead spots in your gauge cluster? i heard this is an issue with older vehicles and was reading up on a bmw forum. the late 90s 3 series that had the orange backlighting like the SS-III.

my 110-130kmh (ausie SX-R) middle section is hard to read at night even with 5 SMD led swapped into cluster.

Nope, everything is verified. No dead spots. It was a grade 4.5 at auction, one owner

Runs and handles amazing. I drove it for about 4 hours yesterday for the first time haha
