cool, thanks. but if you're bussy, no worries. i read another post that said it was a 74 bulb. my main question is: do you need to use that crazy acc key setting (the shop manual i just got said something about this) to take the ignition out? or can it be disassembled (enough) without putting the key in the ignition?

thanks

ok sorry for being mad late with this!

user posted image

first thing. pop off the the plastic piece that covers the ignition keyhole.^^VV

user posted image
then look under the keyhole for a small screw.^^

user posted image
pull off the clear plastic piece which should be connected to the bulb^^

user posted image
twist off the bulb and you're left with is the plastic piece (you might want to take off the green condom)^^

i ended up makeing a little enclosure out of red divider tabs. you could take out the bulb. i dont know if they make the bulbs in different colors but you take it out to napa or somewhere and check if they make them in different colors.

o yea then just put every thing back 2gether.

I have to take my dash apart anyway so im doing it. The cig lighter is easy to change the light....just twist the side connector and light pops out. dont bother with the lighter itself, i had to clean mine cuz it was so dirty and it was a bastard to take apart.
does anybody know if the celica comes stock with an ignition light bc my gt is lit up and i just noticed that my st didnt, either it went out or it doesnt have one.
Jubz86, did you change your ac unit to green also? i am wondering how i disconnect the cables from it (one is such a pain).
I can post pics if naybody wants.
