Good evening, I own a Celica GT-Four st185 and I would like to know what stage 1 and 2 would be and if there would be something intermediate

In other marks are used "stages" to designate the different levels of preparation ... I know that in toyota and in particular celica all trac are not used.

I expected you to "invent them" since I have not yet seen levels of preparation "established" and wanted to have some concrete information ...

For example:
Stage 1: downpipe, improved air filter in original air box, original turbo 1.1 bar

Stage 2: downpipe, improve fuel system, original turbo 1.1; Air box "TTE",

Stage 3: downpipe, another turbo, etc.

In any case I feel I have expressed wrong, what could modify without changing the original turbo (ct26) and the ECU

What material / brands to assemble and where to find it?

I'm a 5th gen guy too but i like reading on this site because there is much more traffic and 5th and 6th gen celicas have so much in common. Plus most guys like myself are swapped anyways so it dosent really matter what gen you are as long as you have and want to learn about the 3sgte. I feel this site can answer your question just as good as members on alltrac.net and celicatech can but those two are also good forums. you should check them all out and read everything.

Well it really depends in how much power you want to get. I would say the "normal" CT26 gets up to 250-270 hp (at the crank). I say "normal" because I learned that there is also a CT26 with a larger compressor wheel (44 mm) instead of the "normal" one with about 41 mm (inducer size). This larger compressor wheel was standard on the CT26 from the supras, but there where also special edition ST185 with these bigger wheels on their CT26. With the 44 mm Compressor wheel you might be able to reach 300 hp. This would also be the limit for the injectors of your ST185. IIRC they are 440cc.

So here is my list for you:
- boost controller (about 1.1-1.2 bar should be good)
- fuel cut defender (probably more than one possibility to do that)
- better air filter and muffler
- a wideband lambda sensor/gauge, that you can monitor AFR

optional
- upgraded fuel pump, supra pump or walbro 255 for example (to be safe, yours is probably 25 years old)
- EGT sensor/gauge
- bigger Downpipe
- cat back system instead of only a better muffler

I would call that stage 1 biggrin.gif
For anything more than that you probably need bigger injectors and a bigger turbo
