those tails look great, but i have always wondered, do cops bother about the car not having the rear sidemarker anymore??

jdm tails really update the look of our cars, but i am always fearful about that because the police here will find any reason to pull people over.

Most people end up even taking the amber out of the JDM tails.

True, that looks so good, but I'll leave the amber in mine.

tails look great on the car Hector, excited to see the debadged look. What are you going to use to debadge and remove the glue?

I'm gonna try to do it this afternoon. Since there's no outlets in the parking garage, I parked it up top so the sun will help out. First I'm going the degunk the area where TOYOTA was, it's already off. Then if it doesn't turn out bad, I'll use floss to pop the CELICA off and get the stuff out. I'll keep the Toyota symbol in the middle till I get around to painting the whole car.

Well I went to get the gunk off and low and behold, the Goo-Gone worked! Unfortunately, the glue was so old and fused to the hatch lid, it took some of the clear coat off with it frown.gif
Here's the damage

That's why I did it one at a time just in case something like this happened. So I'll save the de-badging for when I paint her... midnight blue biggrin.gif

That's no fun, I'm going to debadge all but the Toyota logo in a week or so. Hopefully it doesn't take the clear with it. I like your paint choice though, gonna look goooood.

I've had some black 202 touch up paint for my bird sh!t-looking brake fluid stain on the rear bumper but I've just been busy with homework, I haven't had to the time to go out and do it. Hopefully within the week!

I've really been considering debadging my Celica as well, Just the toyota and celica logos.
But I really don' want this to happen 'cause I don't plan to repaint any time soon haha.

No I didn't. The TOYOTA peeling off the clear coat turned me off to remove the CELICA until I actually plan to paint it. So they stay until I get my midnight blue!

Color and projector highs/lows are the last things I'm gonna do, so it'll be a while kindasad.gif But the best things come with wait!! First I want to get better looking wheels, coilovers, definitely SSIII rears, not sure about the fronts... I dunno if I like my Euro splitters more, and TRD skirts.

My old one looked fade-ish so I bought this one as a pair. I'm giving the other one to one of my best friends that happens to have a black '91 MR2. So it all works out!
