great flick. There aren't too many movies out there that are both mind twisting and entertaining.

Maybe someone should start a list...

I am at work, clicking around 6gc, and run into a really old thread that was just hilarious. The pictures are no longer current but the old guys will remember it. Enjoy this one and post links to other epic 6gc threads in this thread.

The question is whether the initial savings is worth the risk of a problem or the added problems of selling it down the road. I wouldn't do it because I do not want to be bothered by problems in the future and the financial savings would be a secondary issue for me. For people that are not risk adverse, enough savings could tip the scales in favor of buying it.

In other news, hows the baby? smile.gif

I bought the Samsung LCD LN46B630 last fall. It was placed in a sun room. LCD and the matte screen are what swayed me for a bright room. We are very pleased. Only thing I do not like is the ghosting on sports as it is only 120hz. They probably have the 650 out now with 240 hz.

I love these Toyota trucks in general, makes everyone around you envious. How much did you end up paying for it. Our '010 tundra was 32K, 4x4, 5.7L FlexFuel DoubleCab. It drives like a beast.

I got it for under invoice with a little research. About 27k + tax + title.

I opted for the SR5 4x4 package with all the power options and alloy wheels. I saved about 2-3k over the sport or off-road packages. The truck will see 99% street use so I really didn't want stiffer springs. (and I don't really care for the hood scoop on a truck wink.gif)

Didn't this generation come out in 2005?

Yes, 2010 is the 6th year.

This is actually the sixth year of this body style. It took almost that long to grow on me. I liked the looks of the previous generation a lot better. But the interior, drivetrain, and amenities are so much better on the newer models the trucks are not even really comparable.

I was looking at a 06 S4 with about 30k miles for about the same price. I know I would have enjoyed that car but this will be more reliable, better in the winter, and will lead to less tickets! wink.gif

I am going to go test drive one. Unfortunately, the closest one is about 2 hours away (which is why I asked for some impressions). Thanks for the reviews.

Hi to all my old friends. Now that I have the housing situation resolved, I am looking for a new toy - and I promise it will be ... smokin.

I would look for a high milage 96+. There are a ton of upgrades to that body style not the least of which is that they pretty much solved the rusting issue. I bought a 2000 and have been very pleased. The only downside is that the seats are absolute torture devices pre-2001. I just replaced mine with some fine leather saab units.

90s japanese sport cars are teh SEX and will always be

I totally agree with this statement (although I might have worded it a little differently). I don't know wtf happened to automotive designers with the 2000 model year. The sportiness of the designs just went out the window.

Compare:

MR2 (MKII)
Supra (MKIV)
GT4 (6th Gen)
FD RX7
S2000 (introduced in 1999)
Even the Eclipse and 3000GT

To any new model, foreign or domestic, first introduced after 2000 (non-exotic).

The saturn sky comes close but the rest have major design flaws from an aesthetic stand point.

Wouldn't it be nice if they offered a $30K car that looks like an MKII MR2 with the performance / technology of the 370Z?

/rant.

Truly amazing results. It has me scratching my head given the fact that after being available for 14 years, the best ct20b dyno over on mr2oc is 316whp. Do we chalk this result up to intercooling? Any possibility of a chipped ECU or modified stock turbo?

In the end they go outside of the rules that are designed to keep dealers competitive.

Do you realize that those "rules" have the exact opposite effect when it comes to competition? According to the rules, dealers are not allowed to compete on price. WTF? Very communistic and clearly a violation of the Antitrust Act. A seller should be able to sell his wares to any buyer for whatever price he wants. Period.

Sorry for the thread jack but I hate going shopping for something and everyone has it the same price because of such rules. Think Ipod, Wii, Saturn, high end appliances like Viking and Wolf....I could go on for hours. It anti-American and an infringement on freedom.
