I'm asking the homefry with a MR2 what 2 channel amp he's running, I remember he liked it and it was super compact and simple to install.

Thanks. I think the subs are starting to wear in somewhat as well even being driven by the weak factory amp, properly driven they should do everything I need but I wouldn't be against a 10" in the rear for added presence should I so desire it.

laugh.gif I was wondering if that was going to be it, seems like the best amp for the size and money.

Nothing terribly important at all but I came across a decal and as a Final Fantasy nerd I had to get it:

Thanks. laugh.gif At the moment I'm trying to decide on brakes, since I've always kind of felt if I'm going to go through the trouble and expense I might as well do something better than the '98-02 F-body set. Only thing is the 17's limit options and I don't want 18's otherwise that's what I'd have bought. I'm thinking the C5 Vette calipers with good rotors and pads will be about it in terms of performance without upsizing rims, would go from a single pot iron caliper with 10.9" rotors to a dual pot aluminum caliper with directional 12.8" rotors. Time to do more research on the matter and to how well it holds up during autocross and such.

Looking around the C5 setup is as good as it gets with 17's like I thought. Another advantage over the '98-02 F-body is the C5 setup uses adapter brackets to mount the calipers so all the parts can be ordered online, so no junkyard digging or screwing with changing spindles. $125 for the brackets, $160 for reman calipers core charge included, $60 for Raybestos EHT pads, and $100 for Centric cryogenically treated rotors. So $445 give or take for what should be a notable improvement and something that'll do what I need for any autocross or HPDE I'd do.

Turned out better than I thought it would, not perfect but I rather spend $50 than $400+ and looks way better than a cover. It'll hold me until important things like brakes and suspension are sorted or I find a donor car:

I have an idea for taking care of the crack on the dash face that I think I'll try soon.

Could always throw a bandaid decal over it like the Honda kids. I used clear vinyl adhesive to keep it from spreading and it worked well at the base where it was still close together, but not so great towards the top. I'm thinking about taking liquid Plasti-Dip to fill and blend the crack since they have that mix your own colour kit, either that or get some microsuede vinyl wrap to cover the top portion of the dash face which would add the benefit of removing glare out of the top of the windshield.

I don't think any are missing.

ugh you're right, I got this and the other thread mixed up. Whoops. Check out one of those vinyl and leather repair kits with the hot iron tool and pattern embossers!
