I want to get into the whole touge scene and was wondering what coilovers/suspension set up would be best for my 5sfe on the touge?

cmon man, thats just wrong. You dont call your cars spaceships, dont call your local twisty road a touge.

theirs mountain passes around here.

Touge: Tōuge|峠 is a Japanese word literally meaning "pass." It refers to a mountain pass or any narrow, winding roads

Spaceship: Another name for a spacecraft used for human spaceflight

Car: An automobile, motor car or car is a wheeled motor vehicle used for transporting passengers, which also carries its own engine or motor

a touge IS a mountain pass. a car is NOT a spaceship. i'll call it whatever i want.

which one would you recommend for the mountain passes?

&NICS, You've been there for the celica meet sometime last year. It's the one that connects azusa, baldy, and GMR. the side i usually go on is GMR.

do not get, are you calling coilovers ricer or driving fast in the twisties ricer?

if you are calling Touge was a word ricer it might be better rethinking that comment as on a JDM car website many Japanesims get used, Kouki is one example

It depends on the road, if its a rough road then coilovers aren't always better but if its nice and smooth you can't really go wrong.

*I have no personal experience with this system* BUT from the reviews I have read and what i've seen around. I would recommend the BC coilover as it comes as a full setup with camber plates and quality build. TEIN SS is great but lacks the camber plates.

just the touge part, it just goes way over the top. My car has four wheels like a lambo, but I dont call it Lambo.

touge is touge [toe-gay] and the road close to your house even if it has some twists and turns isnt one.

lol do you not get it? touge is a mountain pass. it's just a different word for it. I wouldn't say it's close to my house since it's an hour away..

and a gt4 celica is NOT a lambo. but a touge IS a mountain pass. ill call it whatever i want.

and instead of being completely useless in helping me in this thread and not having anything good to say, id appreciate it if you just stay out.

Penkka, I only go on mountain runs for driving pleasures. I just wanted to know what suspension set up would benefit me for a better road feel and better handling and cornering.
