Seat brackets finally showed up. I threw the seats in on Monday after work. I didnít take any photos of the process, but I quickly grabbed a shot on my way out the door this morning.

Over the weekend I ordered a TCS X brace as well as some future-planning purchases from RacerX in the form of a 1ZZ coil on plug kit, and a top feed fuel rail. After the new year Iíll be purchasing a MR2Link for a standalone EMS, and will source a set of ID1050X injectors for the new rail, but probably wonít install them quite yet. Iíll throw those on when I upgrade the turbo.

Finished blasting the upper oil pan. Painted and installed.

Will probably slap the timing belt on this weekend. Still need to port match the intake mani and turbo mani, so weíre not quite there yet.

I am only wrenching on my car as a hobby, but in my experience their sockets have been pretty good. They get the job done like any Craftsman.

I also use their low profile jack and jack stands. No complaints.

Seats showed up, but theyíre stuffed away in my office at the moment. Still waiting on my set of Bride Type ROís to install them.

I did decide that the 10 pound boat anchor known as the alternator bracket needed to go, so I ordered a lightweight bracket from Racer X, and that got here today.

Got the oil pump and water pumps mounted today, along with the baffle and pickup, fresh out of the parts washer.

We also noticed a small dent in the bottom of the oil pan, so it got pounded out and received a new coat of paint.

The gasket kit I received was for a 2nd gen 3SGTE, and is missing the o-rings for the oil pump to the oil pan, so I got an order in at the dealer for those, plus a new crank bolt, because the machine shop misplaced it.

First, remove the thermostat and check it. Iíd replace it.

If the HG is gone, youíll probably see milkshake in your thermostat housing.

I wasnít feeling super motivated today, so I only did a little bit on the engine.

Installed the fuel injectors after replacing all of their o-rings and lubing them up. Replaced all of the hardware with stainless bolts.

I chased the threads for the manifold studs and installed new studs and nuts. I then cleaned up and painted the coolant lines. Couldnít find the hardware, so I used more stainless bolts that were meant for the stock intercooler piping.

I had Hankook RS2's on the FR-S for about 10K miles... until they were bald. Super sticky, and very sketchy in the rain.

Corners were a blast, but I don't go balls to the wall in turns in the MR2. Something something snap oversteer. I make sure I enter the corner slower than I'd like, and then just accelerate through the apex. The redesigned rear suspension will help, and getting rid of the crap coilovers in favor of the KWs has already helped a great deal, but I still need to put a set of RCAs on.

love the RE760s. I'm on my 2nd set of them for my celi.

You think they're better than the Dunlop Z2?

RE760ís arenít even in the same class as the Star Specs.

Are they better than Z2ís in terms of longevity? Of course. Are they as sticky? Not even close. Itís all about what you want out of a tire.

My automotive genius buddy came over and we installed the crank and knocked the pistons and rods in. All of the clearances were within spec and went together easily. Torqued down the ARP head bolts and just placed the valve cover on for now.

They're an adult. They have the money, they can have the car.

If they play stupid games after buying, they deserve stupid prizes.

I found them on eBay, and I messaged the seller saying that their price was bit steep, and that I would buy them for X amount right now.

They sent me a PayPal invoice for the seats, took the listing down, and that was that.

These are SR-Zero seats. I believe DB8 has a bunch of goodies on MR2OC.

I found these online about a month ago and decided I needed them. They're on a boat, taking their sweet time from Thailand.

And because it is always raining in Seattle:

Sweet jumping Jesus. 9 weeks after I dropped the block off at the machine shop, they have finally finished it.

The bores were done, crank was polished. New freeze plugs, new paint, although the paint looks crappy. Pistons and rods were balanced.

Waiting on the ACL rod and main bearings to arrive to start assembling.

I have a wall of parts waiting to go on.

I also took some time over the last two months and painted the transmission, as well as the mounts. I also purchased a new mechanical speed sensor and swapped out the electrical unit that was there.

Two lanes full of cars is better than one lane full of cars and one asshat blocking another.
