So I have a 3SGE with box, loom, shafts, ecu. Basically to do a straight swap into the 7AFE celica but curious to know if there is anything with the wiring i need to adjust. Trying to find details on it and its very hard to find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell, its just dump straight in. I am aware of the engine mount being different, that's ok. Just the electrics I am more concerned about.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

there are a few guys here that have done the swap and you can read in detail, there are a few changes in the loom, at the EA1 plug, and maybe clutch pedal.

Assuming you have rhd car, there should be no reason for you to extend harness

Thanks for that smile.gif the swap was a success! Car runs on its own power.

I have a few minor problems which I can deal with fixing later but ATM the radiator fans kick in with accessories. Any thoughts as to why?

The harness around the engine hasn't been touched so kinda confused why it would just kick in. I'll see about relay and make sure fuses are OK but no idea what it could be.

IIRC, if there is no signal from the temp sensor to the fans, they fail to the ON position. My GT4 was the same way due to a broken wire at the connector.

What accessories, be more specific, I just went over my whole cooling system...

if I remember correctly, the water temp sensor was backwards polarity to the 7A and 5S/3S in other words when one is open, the other is closed. and the computer gets confused.

But all of the engine wiring and ECU is from the 3SGE. Unless its down to the engine bay wiring that connects the lights etc? is there another sensor that goes to the radiator along with the sensor water temp sensor under the throttle body?
