Forum Rules

Welcome to the 6G Celicas forums! These forums are designed to provide the sixth generation Celica community with a safe, helpful, friendly place to discuss their cars.

1. Keep your posts clean. These forums, like the rest of the site, are designed to be a family-safe environment, and that means that you must watch your use of obscenities. This also means not attacking others in your posts. You must respect everyone here. If you're not going to post something helpful or respectful, don't post. This also means no pornography, sexist, racist, hateful, or illegal content as well.

2. Be nice to the new members! They're new, and if they post something that has been posted a lot in the past, don't answer with something such as "Do a search." Instead, maybe do a search yourself, and link them to a couple informative threads, or write a post that answers their question, with a friendly comment at the end of your post to maybe do a search next time. Remember, we were ALL new once.

3. Search before you post. Please search before you post something, because frequently the question you want to ask has already been answered. If the answer to your question can't be found or you need clarification, then make a post, possibly referencing older threads if you need to.

4. Please refrain from posting pointless posts, such as posts that are just smilies or posts that say stuff like "I'm with stupid" or "Page 2 Owned!"). This includes sarcastic posts about making fun of someone's car, or playful arguing with one another in a thread. These posts simply take over threads and turn them into useless garbage. Remember, the point of these forums is to discuss the sixth generation Celica.

5. Don't call people out on whether or not they have what they say they have on their car. If people really have what they have, they'll post pics eventually in most cases, and if they don't, oh well, just live your life and don't worry about them. Just live life and don't get all worked up about whether or not someone on a website has what they say they have.

6. Try your hardest to post in the most appropriate forum. You'll get more responses if you post in the correct forum, and it will make it easier for everyone to find information. Also, do not cross post and post two copies of the same post in two different forums. Cross posting will simply result in both threads being deleted, so if you're not sure which forum to post in, please email or PM a moderator or myself and we can help you out, or post in the most appropriate forum in your opinion, and we can move it if needed.

7. Please keep your signatures and avatars fairly small. Don't use large images or animated gifs please, and try to keep your signatures under a few lines. No-one wants to wait a few minutes just for everyone's signatures or avatars to load. As far as animated gifs go, please don't use them either in signatures or avatars, because not only are they slow to load in some cases, but they use a lot of resources on some browsers, slowing down the entire computer.

8. The buying/selling forum has additional rules that can be read here.

Please note that failure to comply by these rules will result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following:

1. Warnings through the warning system on the site.
2. Moderator-previewing of your posts, either for a specified amount of time or indefinitely.
3. Being banned from the site, either for a specified amount of time or indefinitely.

Thanks!
