Can anyone let me know the specs of the resistors they used to clear their code 54?
Friend of mine got a brand new tweakd harness which didn't clear the cel.
I used 1k ohms, 1/4 watt resistors (with the gold band) from radioshack but the code 54 was still there, even after resetting the ecu several times

I started with what I know to do, I swap engine into my car, I knew it was too much work to make it a AWD. I kept it FWD. Went to take a crack at doing the wiring conversion. Than, I realize, shoot, this is out of my league.

Does the harness still have the plug for the sensor?

If so, just bridge it. No resistor.

Theres more than just the water level sensor, since there isnt a intercooler pump we have to wire in resistors to clear the code.

Look up code 54, there are multiple reasons it can pop up

Thanks, those are actually the exact ones I got! He bought a tweakd harness to fix all issues after the swap but Sadly it didnt help at all. i tried to ghetto rig it the other day with these resistors to no avail (maybe these resistors along with tweaks resistors was too much resistance? Idk) 2moro im gonna depin the connector and wire in everything the proper way with these radioshack resistors and a 4 pin relay

Soldered the wires a bit ago

The resistor on top will go from the relay to mtt on the ecu, the resistor on bottom will go from the relay to m+, m-, and a chassis ground

Im assuming the tweakd harness has that bridged already. it does have a wire in the LEV spot on the connector....but no plug in the engine bay.

If not, I can just ground that right?
