The question to answer is: What's the purpose of the car?
(200-300 hp FWD daily? Or uncommon 250-300 hp AWD car?)

Cost wise though? Probably just swap. Daily driver? Probably still swap (unless you get a LHD version, else think about drive through lol).
For pretty much everything else... GT4 ftw.

honestly, just buy a project car that has been built. its the best way to swap. mostly due to cost and all the other.
i just finished a 3sgte/ st204 swap in combination with swapping a friends 3sge beams / st204.
His came from a running swapped car that was in rough shape. mine was out of an st185 all track. his cost in total was 3500$ mine was like 5000$ and his took a weekend, mine, 6 months (trouble shooting, and customer harness).
the GT4 is a nice idea but servicing it can be a real pain. try to find front and rear diff fluid for it and other normal maintenance things.

Redline 75W-90NS and Redline Heavy Shockproof. Worst case scenario you end up ordering them from Amazon. Clutch is readily available from Southbend as well as other sources. Distributor and wires, thermostat, etc. can be picked up from the shelf in parts stores. Superstrut components need to be purchased from overseas but frankly if you let your suspension get so bad that it breaks while you’re driving, you shouldn’t be near a car anyway. You have plenty of time to order those items, and both GT4Play and TCB ship to the States very quickly.

I know what you are trying to say, but I disagree. ST205’s are not difficult at all to service here in the States.

^This. Parts aren't hard to come by, they are just more expensive.
