So, im just curious what other 6gc owners think. Do you like VIP style cars?? When i say VIP though, i mean like true JDM style VIP. Power + style + luxury. Im thinkin for my next car I wanna get somethin 4 door and either make it 5spd or get it 5spd. Im thinkin of going with a GS300 or IS300 or a E36 BWM 4door, and doing it in VIP style.

So, do you like VIP cars??

Examples.

yea but this time its for real. I already started saving up $ to buy my next car after the celica. I got $2200 in the bank already. Im gonna keep the celica untill late summer or fall and get rid of it then. Im just gonna b finishin her up with a few more little mods and shes gonna be done.

EDIT: Ive been wanting to get somethin with more space for awhile now. Its a pain in the ass trying to put 2 sets of skis, poles, boots and all the equipement in the car with my rear strutbar and sub, and even without thouse there, that takes up pretty much my entire trunk and half my backseats. And i cant take my BMX anywhere either. There are 3 really nice skateparks within maybe a 20 min drive from my house, but i couldnt go to any of them in the summer because i couldnt get my bike there. I would have ridden but with my gearing on it, i would be so dead by the time i got there, i wouldnt wanna ride it..or ride back.

VIP cars are becoming more popular each day. It's not to be confused with "ghetto" or "dub", it's just more of an image or status symbol. Confusing VIP with Ghetto is like comparing nicely tuned vehicles with "ricers". VIP is done mostly to high end luxury cars. VIP styling applied to street tuner cars (ie RX7, Supra) are usually refered to as LUX styling instead. Junction Produce makes some great VIP parts for Aristos and Celsiors. VIP autosalon is another great shop. It's very popular with Lexus, Infinity and a few of the Acura, BMW and Mercades guys. There are many other cars that are done using VIP styling. I personally am a fan, but it gets exspensive. I'm looking to either pick up a Lexus GS model, or LS model by the end of this year.

yea, seriously i agree with derrick. there is a diff between dub/ghetto than VIP/show.

there are some nice VIP whips out there..especially in the magazine Performance Audio and Sound.

however, i think that VIP cars should only be used for shows smile.gif

i say yay, well because it really does look nice and clean on luxury cars...if you think about it, at least they dont look like some knockoff from those fast and the furious cars with intense underglow inside and out and a crapload of stickers all around the car......im not saying its bad, its because luxury cars shouldnt really be ment for that kinda stuff ya know?? it aint really for drifting or racing...well except for the Lexus Is300 and some other luxuries.....

The wheels are far too big on all those cars, especially the Merc.

hmmm just a thought... if you're going to have big wheels like those and get them lowered, don't you need stiffer suspension? And would it affect the quality of the ride? If it does then comfortability is an issue, isn't it? Then luxury gets affected because luxury=comfort, right? Im not sure what I'm saying here or do I even make sense. Could somebody clarify this for me?

if the cars in the pictures above are actually VIP, then yes, they're ghetto... im not saying everywhere. in miami, those cars in the pictures above would not be considered "tastefully" luxurious so itd be considered ghetto. aka, embarrassing.

edit: the only one that looks okay is the 3rd car. all others are crap.
