Whats the differece between an oil temperature guage and oil pressure guage?

In terms of which one has the most meaning to the driver?

I know that the oil takes longer to heat up than the engine itself but want to
know the exact time the oil will do its job properly, so that i can give my car a blat
without worring that the oil isnt warm enough.

Which guage should i get for my car?

Beno..i think both guage are important for turbo cars, monitoring few important things inside your engines means that you can catch up some serious problems.
I am using Greddy Oil Temp and Oil Pressure guage 60mm with Jspeed Mount but i am waiting for my new gauges from Defi (Din) to come smile.gif Have a look at them.

I am getting the Black dial with green illumination.

There actually quite neat!
I like the idea of it fitting in dash so tidely and have the factory look

What does the oil pressure and oil temperature mean:

Does the oil pressure tell you if your running low on oil or the oil is starting to break down and need changing?

And does the oil temperature tell you when the oil is warm and therefore safe to thrash you car?

beno, the quick description is this:
oi pressure...lets you know that the oiling system in the engine is working.
if the gauge goes to 0, your screwed.
oil temp, will tell you when your oil is warm, and more importantly, if it gets too hot. overly hot oil breaks down, and does not protect your engine.

Thanks
