So I got my celi dyno tuned today, and I'll have the scan up in a few hours, but its max power is 103.1 and the max torque is 121.1. I was told that the stock celica gt made 100 to the wheels stock, and I have a greddy sp exhaust, custom cold air intake, unorthodox underdrive pulley, and s-afc which was getting tuned. Does anyone really KNOW baseline numbers for the dyno of a Celica GT? I wanna see dyno sheets... I hope I didn't just throw $1000 down the hole for all my performance parts and tuning.

A member here kind of did a base dyno but the car wasnt stock. It had some minor mods to it. The link is here

Base Dyno

Other dyno figures can be found on his site.

Yeah, baseline is probably around 95-98 all depending on weather.

the grassroots motorsports celica ST puts down that much HP or a little less

91hp actually and that was at 169k miles on the clock and before the rebuild(all stock celica)
HyperDeathKill
yea I read the grassroots, but at 91 horse on the st rated 115... the gt 135 should get a bit more. That is manual trans though, I do have auto. Anyway, I really need to see a stock base dyno. Curses.

Hey, it all depends on what dyno system you use. I used to work in a speed shop that had one. You can get 10 HP differences in which operationing system you use. I had a 79 Firebird that was dynoed at 415 HP @ 5500 rpm on dynojet. And then it dynoed at 438@5500 rpm on a different program. Dynojet is what every magazine uses, its like an universal code of dynos, its the best program. Just dont jump from one program to another or u will get weird numbers.
HyperDeathKill
Yea, well I think the industry standard is dynojet now a days. It's what I used.

You coulda bought a ST185 clip for $1000. I know you probably know this, but you really can't squeeze that much out of a 5S and a 7A motor. I know I mentioned something about this to you on Celica.net, but if you really want power, you'll need to fork over much more money to rebuild the internals and turbo that bad boy, or just do a motor swap.

If you're into high HP gains, my recommendation is to save up for a swap. It'll be a lot more cost effective than rebuilding your 5S.

Best of luck.
