so i am need of a new motor from my turbo blowing apart in my engine. I have obdII so let me get this straight i can use any previous year 5sfe blocks as long i switch the intake manifold, egr system, distributor, oil pump ( for the CPS) and the oil sender becuase they are a different clip. i can get a motor for 200 bucks with 30day warranty if i pull it myself. pretty good deal to me.

ohh come on i know someone knows this.

I asked about getting an obdII motor to fit in my obdI chasis. And I was told that as long as it is a 5sfe all you need to do is swap over all your parts and it will be fine.

i know the block is the same but a bunch of the tedious **** has to be switched out which is somewhat a pain in the ass but gotta do it though.

Just make sure the block has the knock sensor fitting on the back, some (90-91???) don't, I believe. No other differences that I'm aware of.
