First pic isn't a lens issue, that's ur shutter being too slow.

I was more referring to the fact that I can't zoom in very far b/c it only has an 18-55mm range..but yeah, I see what you mean about the shutter speed being too slow.

Post some higher rez versions. Those two are great pictures, but the resolution is TINY. Id like it see at least 800x600.
Supersprynt
I keep them all low for posting purposes - go to my flickr to check out higher resolutions. Link is in my sig.
lagos
They are the same size on your flicker page.
Supersprynt
Members only I guess.

Ah. Well those longer lenses get expensive, and your probably going to want image stabilization for shooting free hand.

Speaker of longer lenses with IS, I picked up a Canon EF-S 55-250 f4-5.6 IS today. It's officially my new baby, so much nicer than my unmentionable wide-angle zoom.
Playing around with it:

NZD$475. $340 in your imperialist american currency tongue.gif

But due to economies of scale you can get it for a bit cheaper...

Remember when buying a lens, consider the future. If you have no plans on ever upgrading your camera, you can go with EF-S lenses. If your like me, and eventually plan to upgrade to a pro-DSLR, you need to think about the lenses mounts. EF-S will not fit anything but 1.6x bodies, meaning only the Rebel series.

Mercury what wide angle were u using?

They fit the 20/30/40D's also (unless of course those are also referred to as rebels in zee US.). The way I see it, when I get to the point where I can afford a 1DS mkIII, I'll also be able to afford to upgrade to an L series zoom wink.gif.

I'm still using it. 18-55 non-IS. Oh how I loathe it's crappy construction and optics.
Supersprynt
This is true enough. I hope to one day get a full frame. I do have a 17-40 f4L, which is a great lens.
Tigawoods
my 400d its good enough for me now

Not too happy that it's 1.5 degrees of rotation or so off. But meh.

Not too fast. About 60rpm or something?

I really need a good telephoto, I hate cropping out 75% of the shot.

Those are the only new ones I have uploaded. I'll look for some more.

Ok so these photos I took with my iPhone. I did give them a quick once over in photoshop, but they look pretty good nonetheless.
