To further this - how about we discuss various options for EBC's cause I've really been leaning towards that being my next real mod. Can't stay at stock boost forever and the MBC is just not gonna keep me happy. What do you guys reccommend?

hey.
i just fitted a TRU boost system to a Hyundai Tiburon along with AEM UEGO and AEM FIC. I will let you know how i get on. mapping tomorrow.
An EBC is a definite advantage. you can set it to how silky / or aggressive you want boost to build up, set your limit and avoid spike. good investmenmt. I have a GReddy one at present.

i was planning on going with a Blitz SBC Spec S but I may not depending on what turbo kit we end up with later on - it only goes up to 17psi . i've read that it's one of the easier ones to use & is pretty accurate too.
the Blitz SBC-id units go up to 36psi so i may see about one of those.
i know plenty of people swear by the older HKS EVC's also - i just don't care for the size of the newer units.
Apex-i AVCR's are also widely used ... i believe they can tell you the injector duty %
Greddy Profec's are also a popular choice.
Honestly it comes down to how many bells & whistles you want to have & how you want to learn how to read it (bar, psi) & how much boost you want to end up running so you don't have to keep buying different controllers.

man you guys are ballers with your electronic boost controllers. Unless you plan on running more than 30 lbs of boost I wouldn't bother with an ebc unless you've got the money to blow.
I've got a nice halman pro on my dsm I got for cheap, and it holds boost rock steady. You never really play with boost all that much without being tuned for it, and once you set a manual you can just forget about it. With my manual boost controller and tail 44mm wastegate I was holding a solid 29psi all the way to redline no problem. EBC's can be nice but personally I'd rather just rock a manual boost controller and a accurate boost gauge and put the money I saved into more go fast parts.
