I have a Federal 5SFE what's the difference between the California and Federal?

Emissions controls, primarily a second catalytic converter under the body in California models.

california heads are different? injectors i can understand, but a compleatly different head? that a big change

only on the US 94s, the 95+ all have 2 cats.

yes, as crazy as it sounds, it's true. Along with the distributer/coil set-up being different.

also, the federal has 5 more HP than the cali.
