Hey all,

Iv been looking at the forum over the last few weeks and it has solved many problems for many people and I'm wondering if you can help me.

Firstly ill describe the problem. When I drive the car and when I change gear, what every gear I change into I get a clunk as the gear it put under load (I don't get a clunk as it is pushed into place but only when I put the power down). I have lifted the front of the car and turned both wheels and there is about 4" of backlash (if you mark the edge of the tyre with a pen it moves about 4" before stopping). Is this a common problem that can be fixed or is it a gearbox change? I thought it was a dodgy gear but it feels too uniform to be just 1 gear as its equal in all of them.

If it helps I own an ST202 SS-II and about 150,000Km on the clock.

Thanks for reading

Sam
