NEEDS MOAR LOWARR!

yes... but important things first wheels and breaks. some time next year Ill get the lowering part done. that and I have to figure out how to not have the exhaust tap on the back... it already does, and lowering it would probably make it worse.

John Deere engine hoist FTMFW!

Today I started looking into my next project car...
RabidTRD
Euro fogs anyone?

Works with the parking lights.

With all lights on:

Yay relay's lol.
presure2
Did front brake pads in the beater.
Fun AND exciting, both at the same time.

Today, I took some before and after pictures.

Before:

After:

Painted the headlights and foglights black. It's a huge improvement over the chrome. The IS will be going to the body shop this week and it'll have a new JDM present when it gets back.

I guess it was yesterday, but I got a chance to drive my celica on the track, lots of fun!
azian_advanced
the is300's A/C never worked since we bought it so last week, after a quick charge it worked great but quickly went out a few hours later. i think there was a leak somewhere. so recently, i did a poor man's version of an A/C seal, evac, vacuum, and recharge at home and the a/c has been working great for the past 3 days smile.gif .

this morning, i finished replacing the inner & outer tie rods, ball joints, and end links on the celica. i could've finished in a day but it's been a bit too hot to work outside plus the inner tie rods were a bit different than oem and i couldn't get the inner boots to stop sliding so it required a bit of modifying.

Now it's time for some headlamp polish. It's like $20 at Pep Boys, etc and all you need is a drill. Works wonders. I don't think I'll have to do it with the Celica headlamps because they're glass, but the post face turns are plastic and they were pretty bad. Sanded/polished them, good as factory new.
richee3
Tried that, clay bar works better. These headlights are just fubar'd and are there for no purpose other than filling holes until I buy the Altezza headlights.
Keiri
Installed the header finally.

Enjoyed the sound of the open downpipe on my way home before I put the header on. Seriously considering an exhaust now.
spy00005
installed rear splitters and sideskirts and trimming down front splitters to fit the gt4 bumper.

will do I'm gonna need to do a little filling but not a lot the look almost perfect from a few feet away. I'm loving the look difference with sideskirt they make the car look a whole lot better and the splitters help with the flow. Gonna go finish up and get some pics biggrin.gif

My car's suspension is pretty dialed so I was really enjoying it, but definitely got some horrible understeer (as expected). I learned some new techniques though as it was a BMW club day and they had plenty of instructor's out giving tips and doing ride alongs. (I got to go because my dad is pretty big in the BMW CCA)

I was getting smashed on by M3's all day though, lol.

I would definitely recommend it just for an overall fun time despite how the car does. If you like go kart racing, picture that on a bigger track with your car. Sooooooooo much fun!
ricochet1490
washed my car....... (please don't kill me guys) for the first time in 1.5 years. It's been in the shop for 6 months of that time for repair and the other time was DD duties with 1000mi every 10 days so not a lot of time to wash it. looks better tho!
spy00005
sanded the front just a tad bit too much. but still looks good an easily fixable the sideskirt cracked a little while fitting it nothing a lil bondo and sand paper wont fix though.

Nice.
HectortheRican
Is that blue paint? Interesting... I want to see that on the Celica.
Culpable04
this was done to my spare projector, took apart and painted the plastic using the same paint as the body color, then assambled back together.

I will try to get picture of that one installed, depending on how it looks I'll modify the other one or install them with no mods. wie'll see.

That's actually something I was interested in doing with my white celica. Or to paint the shroud black. Let us know how it looks!

HectortheRican
Hmmm I'm on the fence. It kind of looks like the Corvette's headlights.
spy00005

KAOS
Totally like.

Nice job Culp!
RabidTRD
I'd say, paint the high's bezel too if you can. It may make it flow better.
chacha
you got balls C...hahaha...i want to paint the shrouds too but leave the inner most part of the shroud on the lows (the inner circle chrome still) but everything else to make it colored match...very nice though...i need photoshop help
jimmykay
I like it. Though I get the feeling it needs a touch of chrome somewhere on there. Either like a 1/2" thick ring next to the projector or on the front flat edge that sits against the glass.

Overall, amazing job though.
CrimsonSTX
Culp, I like how it looks on the car, definitely different. It'll stand out for sure.

Went to 4 junkyards to find a lowbeam and highbeam that were not cracked, flooded, and had all their tabs. I finally go a high beam with a little condensation, but no water damage that I decided to try and dry out with the high beam, and I got a low beam that has all of it's mounting clips. $64 spent to get both lights for the driver's side. Then I spent ~ 3 hours taking off my bumper (I hate where those stupid bolts are ><). Finally I installed everything, and did an oil change, but I made the mistake of allowing a new driver drive the car up onto the ramps... He drove right over the ramps. Now I have a dent in the bottom of my car (not sure what to call the panel that is bent, but skirts will cover the damage), so I will now be looking for some OEM skirts! I can't be too mad at the kid, I honestly should have gone with my gut and went to my other house to get the stupid floor jack instead of using the ramps ><

Ordered my helmet so I can autocross next weekend biggrin.gif

BAM! done, and it was real easy. the e-brake works, but I have to adjust it. its a long throw at the moment.

Swapped the gt-four hood from one celica to the other and replaced the tach on my 96. Washed and Waxed too.
mak5603
Went 5mm wider in the rear. Shoulda went 10, lol.

Now my alltrac gets spacers too!
Neon90424
got my 272 cams springs retainers and valves biggrin.gif!
Keiri
Ordered LED bulbs for the instrument cluster as one of the stock bulbs blew this weekend. I figure if you're going to replace the bulbs why not upgrade the component quality.

Later this week, I'll be heading to Pull-A-Part to look for a mirror control harness for the Celica and some parts for the Buick.
drumbum
But these bad boys on last weekend biggrin.gif

Keiri
Installed the LED lights in the gauge cluster. Looks fantastic.
