hey guys, im doing a 3rd gen swap and allllllllllllll of my honda friends keep tellin me to do solid mounts. anyone think its a good idea for a fwd 3sgte?

i just replaced my clutch and had to buy 3 brand new stock mounts bc im not doing the swap until august. i guess i could fill my stock ones?

solid mounts sounds a bit risky, you'll feel loads of vibrations and put a lot stress of the chassis/mounts, i'd use polyurethane instead at least you then you get a bit of leeway/movement

solid mounts are fine if all you are doing is taking your car down the strip. Otherwise you will hate every second of street driving...every bolt will eventually come loose and need to be tightened again. You will find yourself constantly trying to track down some stupid little rattle noise

these guys in Poland do poly mounts http://www.gt4.com.pl/polyurethane/ they are also on EBay http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/p_woloszyn/ a few people on CCUK have used them, i have their poly bushes in my front wishbones, they only do the front and back mounts (the round ones) i believe though

Poly mounts are the way to go, especially with the power that your 3S will be putting down. They'll help reduce wheel hop to give you better traction.

poly mounts FTW

solid mounts will eventually sheer the metal.
