I don't have the OEM style jack, & need to take off a front wheel.
Where should I put my floor jack to raise the front end??
I have a flat & need to take the tire off.
Doesn't look like the stock place is strong enough to do it without bending the lower
portion of the fender!!

Any help appreciated!!!

I always place my floor jack at the center front where the crossmember bolts to the lower radiator support. Just be sure you get the lip of the jack around the back of the bolts and you'll be golden biggrin.gif

but i usually do bth side individually at the front.

any major suspension/frame point will work great. about 3 inches past the stock jack point (which is just where the QP is welded to the floor pane, not frame related at all...) is the frame rail. you can use that or where the control arm bolts to the frame.

Honestly never thought about 1 side at a time { DOH!! } I raised it from the center as Death mentioned. I had less than 2 hrs to get it to the tire shop & back on!!

Thanks for the frame rail advice!! I started to do it from the stock location & saw the fender as it just started to push ugly!!
I wasn't sure if the control arm area was strong enough, but now I know!!

Thank You Death, njccmd2002, & stephen_lee
