I want my car (7A-FE) to have more throuty sound it has a TTE Double piped exhaust already, but it could use a more deep sound.

I have been searching for a short ram, but the only one I could find is the Injen Short Ram Intake. In Denmark it's 400$ for the Injen set! Is it possible to find something cheaper that gives the same kind of sound, sorta like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKpG9AS6_Dc

I don't want a cold air intake since im worried about it hydroclocking especially in the current cold and wet weather.

Do you guys have any suggetions, which SRI that both are cheap and doesen't harm the engine (not a bad quality one.)

I suggest getting a universal one. Just find some 2.5" piping, cut it to fit properly and buy a filter. But be warned it wont change your exhaust sound drastically.

edit: i just noticed your listed as a 94 GT...the GT didnt have the 7afe engine, it had the 5sfe. So you must have the ST trim level. Just For Your Information.

For Your Information the Toyota Celica are called something different in Europe. The 5SFE was not even made to the european market. It is called GT in Europe, and the engine I have is the 7A-FE the big "7A-FE" tag on the engine doesen't lie.

But back to the subject I could perhaps try what you suggest, but does anyone have experience with the Injen intake?

no need to be hostile he was trying to help and a gt in the eu should have a 3sge and i am aware that u also got the 7a overseas but it wasnt called a GT to my knowledge...

injen works fine but 400 is insane they go for 90 used over here

I'm sorry if I sound hostile if so then I am sorry. smile.gif

You are probably right about the 3sge maybe it's just called Toyota Celica 1.8, but I don't know much about the specific names.

I have been looking on the american eBay, but the package will be charged with taxes etc. since the USA isn't within the European Union. It's very annoying since the prices in the USA are much more reasonable then here, and I don't mind if its used as long as it is in good condition. wink.gif

just find a 2.5 inch aluminum pipe with a 45 degree radius in it. cut it to the right size and put a filter on it. you can drill a small hole in it for the intake temp sensor and stick the groumet in there.

theres a seller on ebay, chromeintakes i think, that sells "cold air intakes"... they are more than a short ram, but not fully down in the wheel well like a name brand cold air intake. they are only like $40 after shipping, so its a lot cheaper and does the same thing any high end name brand one would do

I will check that out. I have been looking at a Green Air filter "kit" like this (Danish site) http://www.astina.dk/product_info.php?cPat...ducts_id=103019

Is the Green air filter "set" a CAI or a SRI?
