I was just browsing around and 90% of FS is parts and partouts. it makes it hard to find the people wanting to buy or sell their 6gc.
Would it be a good idea to add a sub forum to FS for complete car classifieds or WTB posts?

i think itd be a good idea to atleast split it to a FS section and a WTB section.

And who do you guys expect to do this? No one on the moderation team has the access or knowledge to do anything like this. And coomer has been gone for quite a while.

There's been talk of splitting it up before. Seems like the consensus was that there wasn't enough activity to justify having two subforums.

Coomer is the only one with the ability/tools to do that sort of stuff, and hasn't been on for about 5 months sadly.

so who is paying the bill for the website? somebody on here should know Coomer and get ahold of him. single point failures is bad

chris has been taking care of everything himself since the site started in 2002. it is what it is.
personlly, i dont see the need, its not like there are dozens of new threads everyday in the b/s section.

here is an easy idea...
if you want to buy something to buy, put it on your signature and it will be all over the place...

WTB vs FS sections suck... All the forums i'm on that have it is a disaster. Hardly anyone looks in the WTB section unless they want to buy stuff.

not much Buy and sell changing everyday like Manny said, but it does suck to filter, you get wild results. other forums really seperate by parts, wheels, cars, etc. But it is what it is.

Thats kinda what prompted my question. There's no good way to filter the search to find complete cars for sale instead of people parting out or just selling random pieces.

Some ideas:
Make it mandatory that all threads in the FS section start with either WTB: or FS: (which a lot of users stick to already) - this will help the sorting/searching. If they don't; they're automatically removed no questions asked.
Make a minimum 5 posts before new users are allowed to post in the FS section... I'm seeing a lot of new users create an account just to sell their cars. Not a bad thing I suppose but we're a community that is supposed to help each other KEEP our cars... but I guess if they were to be bought by someone in the community, it wouldn't be that bad either.
Thoughts?

the first part of your post already exists.
if it dont start with FS or WTB, it gets deleted.
i dont thing a 5 post minimum would make a diffrence once way or the other to someone looking to sell theyre car.
they'll just spam up the board with a few usless posts.
