I must say that's quite snazzy. Also, its probably just my computer but the website that has the write up is uncoded (or not translated) lol..

On a different note, I'm diggin' the tail light mods done the the car in the first video thumbsup.gif

I could do without the high pitched whining but that's seriously cool.

His blog/website is in japanese, so yes you'll need a translator

Damn I was thinking of doing the emblem work as a project to be all original. It definitely looks sick though biggrin.gif. Those tails too...

I'm using Google Chrome, and it prompts me at the top of the browser to translate the page... the translation to English is rough tho.

I think www.google.com might be able to translate the page for you, but I'm not sure how off the top of my head.

If i could make a small production run of these (minus the hideous buzzer) would anyone be interested? Looks like parts are running about $15 a board or so. Already ordered a run of parts to make a prototype, and hopefully a functional board for my 6gc. I'll post pictures once everything is assembled and installed!

The mighty car mods lads did something similar, not sure how useful this is

Hello guys !

I know it was long time ago that you were talking in this topic, but have anyone of you done this shift light using attached schematics?

I tried to do it yesterday but it seems to be wrong in some point, it doesn't work for me frown.gif
Rusty
I haven't tried it myself. Can you post up what you've done?
Noahwhite2014
You can buy a shift light on eBay for about $15 shipped. Basically follow what the mightycarmods guys did except instead of the bulb, put a red LED Strip inplace of the bulb and curve it to the outside edge of the Tacho, then put some Aluminum tape on cardboard or paper to separate it from the Speedo unless you're okay with the bleeding light. Without the LED strip, the light is pretty dim and you can barely see it during the day. Total cost should be about $25 if you can get the LED strip light in red off of amazon or eBay which is around $10 for 5 meters which is more than enough. If you want to get RGB led strips you can also do the color changing backlight and then use an extra few inches and just set it up so it only lights up red. Theres usually 4 wires, some have 3 positives and a common ground, some have 1 positive and 3 grounds. Not hard to figure out which you have smile.gif
