Hi im new 2 the board, and actually own a 5th gen. but i purchased what i believe 2 be 3sge out of a 98 celicagts. my only question of it is the 3sge from a 5th gen has a huge valve cover. and the later model is prob half this side. is this normal. does ne body a picture from a top view they can post, from a top view, i will try 2 get one that maybe someone cn tell me if it looks rite? thanx all. smile.gif

I think he means the 175hp 3sge that we also have in europe...

yeah thats whut it looks like, but i thought it was only 160hp

Thats the 3th generation 3s-ge engine that comes out an ST202 celica
It produces 175hp and its an 2000 cc 16v engine without vvti
That engine is in our car if we have an GT

Looks like you've got a good engine out there...

the engine is a jdm, we get crap engines here as well

The 160BHP 3SGE is the one that comes from the (UK) 5th Gen celica
The 173BHP 3SGE is the one that comes from the (UK) 6th Gen celica.
