i have the e153 lsd transmission whit the hybrid axles setup,
after changing my clutch for a new one, i did forgot to put back the nuts that hold the bracket that hold the right side axle in place, (the 2 bolt in middle axle that hold on the engine ) after a 200 km ride , i notice a weird noise ,
and when i push gas hard it spinning free in the trans, the car can move but, at 50 km/h i get a noise like very loud from the tranny. (the shaft was loose and moved to front and back into tranny )

can someone suggest what it can be ?

maybe i damage the shaft from axle inside,

or

does the gear in the transmission get damage ?

thanks

You most likely damaged something, I'm going to say the axle, but could be wrong.
Now you'll remember to bolt it up next time laugh.gif

Man that front passenger axle was a pain in the ass to replace. Removing the bracket was the hardest part. I remember I was going to just not bolt it like what you did too but good thing I forced myself to find a way to remove the bracket from the old one and put it on the new axle. Lol.

He has a camry or turbo mr2 transmission though.

I know you already know to do this but remove the axle and check the splines on it for damage. Worst case scenario is that you screwed up the differential on the transmission though it can probably be replaced without removing the transmission. Also a good time to upgrade to LSD

lol its already lsd, but i just find a new mr2 turbo 1990 for 250 $, non lsd,
i dont know what to do really, ill maybe just gonna buy that tranny and put it there, but i will check the differential into transmission before,

the right wheel does 1/4 of turn loose (the shaft move, but freely for 1/4 of turn)
the left side dont, no loose there

pull the axleshaft out and examine the splines where it attaches to the tranny. Im willing to bet your axle slide out far enough that the splines wernt engaged and they just rubbed inside the differential. Im not sure that your LSD would survive being driven with only one axle or if it would burn up.

i had put back the bolt in the bracket but problem persist and the axle did not slide out,
i think the lsd is burned
