Full Version: help!!! overdrive wiring on auto transmission

i replaced the transmission shifter slide cover as it was broken(shown in the first pic above). after removing the knob just like the 2nd pic above(unscrewed 2 bolts on the knob and pulled it off upwards), i found 2 wires detached from the o/d button(obviously i didn't think of the connection before removal frown.gif ). i successfully replaced the broken cover with new one, but i still don't know how to connect the 2 wires to the o/d button assembly.
it is not crucial part for my daily driving, but i want to restore it to original condition.
could someone shed some light on this? thank you for any tips in advance!!

i found that the wires are soldered somehow according to the discussion below. oh it's gonna be a tough job... i need to know where the wires should be attached on.
