Hey folks.

I've got some squeal coming from my belt when I turn the steering wheel.

I'm trying to add tension, but I need some advice on what I'm doing here. Aside from the obvious adjuster bolt on the front, is there another bolt I need to be undoing too?

My setup looks different from all the others I've searched. Mine is a UK 2.0 GT ST202 3SGE.

Here are some pics:

Thanks!!

The squealing is probably from your power steering belt, lower down and towards the back of the block. It’s pretty simple to adjust, loosen a locking bolt, adjust tension on the belt by moving the pump put, tighten the locking bolt again.

Is that the one where I have to jack the car up, and remove the wheel and wheel arch liner to get to it?

Yup, that’s the one. thumbsup.gif
