QUOTE MANNY- Yeah, the Honda guys wire in a resistor box, mostly when using the DSM injectors. However, the OBD-1 Honda harnesses already have a pre-pinned plug that you can almost literally PLUG the resistor box into. To the OP, I don't know if just adding a resistor in the circut would solve your problem or not, but you could try it, and if it works, POST IT UP so others know that it DOES work!!!! I wired the 4 resistors (10watt, 10ohm) into pins 11, 12, 24, and 25 about 3 inches away from the ecu... Still runs like a pos. any thoughts on why that didn't work? I'm thinking of moving the resistors under the hood in the engine bay (the temperature has no effect on the resistors) but I dont see much of a difference electrically to justify the switch.... thgoughts? I can find it eventually I'm sure, but do you know or have any info on that resistor box for the obd 1 harness/ plug that they use? I don't know too much about electrical. |

I know its been a while, but I finally got a multimeter, they are low impedance (the supra 440cc's)... Can i still use these injectors if I put a 10 ohm 10 watt resistor on each wire. I believe the re3sistor can go on either wire of the injector correct? The impudence will actually prevent the SAFC II from pulling fuel? |

QUOTE Not a 7afte. read people. That's what I was thinking haha... all the initial setting should be correct: 4 cylinder, throttle is the up arrow, I'm on pressure, in 1 out 1... I set the ne pt to 800 so it would be closer to the the stock idle of 750, and put low throttle to -20% which is what I had recommended to me... so assuming those are right, it's almost certainly something in between the the map sensor, wiring for the map sensor and the ecu correct? 5s by the way ; ) |

If you are talking 5sfte, it sounds like your map sensor is shot. yeah 5sfte, do you have any clue what pressure readouts I should be gettin off the safc 2? when the car is off my stock map sensor reads like +.49kg/cm^2, but when I swap it out and put in the 2 bar reads like -33mmHg when the cars off. Id rather not have to spend another 360$ to try it out |

For fuel I have the walboro 255 hp, the supra 440cc injectors and I'm tunning with the SAFCII. What size were the stock injectors? Why when I'm in low throttle loop (actually idling) and set the SAFC II to -50% am I still at 10.3 to 1 A/F ratio? I brought it to get it tunned today and the guy wouldn't touch it because it will not even idle at above even an 11? Please help me out; I need my car for daily driving in the summer and I will only have a week to work on it before I start my summer internship. Thanks for the help, Derek |

okay, I'll make sure the 255lph walbro GSS-342 is in before I hit the road. Before you switched to the emanage ultimate did you by chance have any rough setting (A/F ratio setting wise) that I could use to get a good start? It seems like all safc stuff was on n/a cars but you had yours in before you upgraded to the ultimate right? I just want to get it to survive until Christmas when I can actually have time to play with it and optimize settings for performance. I definitely rushed into this, big mistake |

Basically I need it to run well enough to live for a year. I know the safc 2 is crude but my car needs to be on the road as soon as I can get it there. Is the safc 2 right under these circumstances? |

I have read just about every post I can find and I cant find how you guys wired the emanage ultimate. I have the 440cc from the supra and Obviously it runs worse than the 315's b/c its not tuned. I need to install the emanageultimate and have it in drivable conitoins on the sunday after thanks giving which leaves me almost no time. I need to buy the emanage ultimate (I have a site to buy that) Buy the harness (cant find that because the link in one of the posts doesnt work anymore) Wire it up (diagram help? I already have the A/F ratio gauge installed) bring it to a shop to tune it for me (because I have no clue hoe to do it) Do you guys think if for some reason I cant get it the emanage in and the car tuned that I would still be able to drive it on the highway? Its a 200 mile trip??? I know we have alot of differences with the timing around 4450, and I cant find any places that have race gas so I just get 93 pump and put an octane booster in what do you think??? (PS I did injectors, but I didnt get the 255lph walbro yet) please respond asap guys Thanks again |

Better way to ask you about the injectors, which would you get if you were me, 365 4agze, or 440 7mgte, or the 460 RX-7 injectors Pt. #195500-2010. They are they plug and play right?? |

The gauge is in its a two second fix I just need to splice a into a line and thats the first thing I'm doign when it gets back from the shop(I'm fixing it an oil leak.) What are you thinking for injectors though, like 360cc? The 7M-GE injectors have a completly different looking nozzle, like different lengths and everything. That doesnt matter at all? Yeah the tune seems like the missing piece. I want to be getting the ultimate like you said you are using. I'm pretty good with electrical, but I am wondering how the install is for that? does it come with good instructions that I can install it myself (not tune it with it myself) |

I have just installed a 45 trim, 7lb externally waste gated turbo... when I puut in the two bar map sensor and the 7m-ge injectors, and the 1 step colder spark pulgs gapped to .030 I had a problem. I'm idling around around 4 or 5 hundred and I have trouble getting above like 5300. I think Its two separate issues. The idle issue is probably due to injectors and colder plugs and should be fixed with a safc II. But my boost gauge isn't hooked up yet so I think the top end may be a "too much boost" problem. can anyone think of a different reason? I think my waste gate might be seized up or something??? |

so you think that when the toyota 2 bar map sensor, and the injectors (7mge) are in, it wont run with out a tune? that would mean that the burein toyota kits also required a tune, so I don't think you're correct or are you saying it won't need the tune after the new 2 bar and injectors, but would if I don't install them and run the gm 2 bar without injectors |

okay thanks. since you seem like the go to guy, I was wondering if you have the msd 6 btm, and what you used for your ecu? e-manage or the A'pexi S-AFC 1 or 2? and does the greddy e-mange need obd II cuz I have a 94 which is obd I. What should I do computer wise in your opinion? |

I'm trying to get my car on the road again. I have already installed the turbo, exhaust, A/F ratio and boost gauge, helicore ignition wires, oil line, FM inthercoolerand piping, and new plugs gapped to .030. Things to do: 7mge injector-will arrive tomorrow MSD 6 BTM- tach harnes adjuster is on the way 2 Bar Map Sensor! I have been trying to get a 2 bar map sensor installed, but the PN in the sticky is invalid according to the dealership I asked; "2 bar MAP sensor(part# 84420-17030)". I asked about the MAP Sensor for the turbo 93 celicas and he said he cannot look them up without a VIN. I called back a couple of times and had no luck gettin it from the dealership. So I was on another forum that told me the GM 2 bar map sensor would work. It doesnt. My car will go to idle but if you touch the gas at all the car trys to stall. The car ran to the point were I could rev and was only an issue at high rpms or WOT before I had the GM 2 bar MAP sensor. How can I get the correct 2 bar map sensor that my ecu can understand? |
