Replaced the battery as it was old. When I went to start it, there was smoke from the engine bay and a seized sound. What was seized? The engine wouldn't turn over. Smelled like rubber. Any ideas?

Check the alternator. If it is not used it will seize and when you turn the engine over the belt will slip on the pulley instead of it turning. This would cause the burnt rubber smell.

I had pitfire solder them all in from the inside, and coverage is awesome, very even

I did them the same way myself. And I made an array of red and blue for under the temp knob so that the color shifts when I turn the knob.

Only way to get it bright and even is to solder individual leds under each button like I and others have done in the past. It's also the only way to change the indicator colors.

I saw a celica in the movie The Darkest Hour. Its right when they are asking an old lady that is bricking up her windows for directions. It is a facelift and has jdm tails, and a rear window visor, spoilerless, also looks to have jdm projectors on the front.

My friend has something similar in his truck it works good but we cut the power cord and spliced it into a power source so he didn't have to take up an outlet. The mounts are ok but sometimes they like to fall off the window. Also make sure you go into settings and disable the built in fm transmitter if it has one if you use an aux cable other wise it may cause interference with some other devices.

Mileage is stored in the speedometer. You would need to get the body ecu from the 7th gen to make some of the functions work and even at that its not just plug and play. Anything is possible with the right knowledge, time and resources.

You shouldn't need facebook to see it. Just click the link. I'm not logged in and can see it fine.

Also the only people that see any of my pictures or posts are my people that I actually know and talk to. I am not a friend whore that has to add everyone in the world just because a friend of a friend of someones 3rd cousin knows them.

Finished custom gauges. Added white leds to light the odometer, red leds under the needles and indiglo gauge overlays. Changed all warning lights to leds. Added chrome accent rings, used needle covers from a bmw cluster and changed the shape of the turn indicators.

Very nice bmj67.
Reminds me of when I did my retrofit!
What thickness of plastic did you use?

Also..
Congrats Timmy, welcome back to the darkside! wink.gif

I used a 2mm impact modified acrylic. My first try didn't go so well I overheated the plastic and got bubbles. So I decided to hit it with a hammer and it took a few hits in the same spot before it broke. Its supposed to be 50x stronger than glass and have a uv coating on it already.
