Hey guys,
Ok so last week I was driving home and I was about 2 miles from my house when this dumbass in a dogde dakot turns from the far left len right in front of me and I hit his passenger side with my front end. My entire car basically looked like an accordian , but I was all fine. Anywyas hehe heres the funny part, I went to the insurance company and I was like how much will you give me and they were like ok 6,000 to fix it I was like **** YOU! So I had my aunt (a lawyer) write them some nasty law suit threat letter, and they call me back 2 days later saying, they will give me 17,000!!!!! I was like ummm..... OK! So now I got the money and payed off the 5,000 I owed. I just got back from the VW dealership and I bought myself a 2003 GTI VR6. V6 200HP 195 torque, 6 speed Manual. Guys you have no idea this thing flies. It is a great car. Anyways, I am parting out my car, the entitre front end is ****ed (I think I can salvage some engine parts) but everything else is in regular condition like it was b4 the wreck. For those who dont know what I have its a 99 Black GT Convert Auto. So give me some parts Ill see if I can get it off the car. Ill be posting some pix of my new car soon. smile.gif

Yesterday as I was going out of a parking lot, i kinda bottomed out a little on the road and i hear this loud a$$ clanking noise, so i pull of the street and pull into the parking lot, and i hear this loud ass noisse yet again, and now my car totally fails to go into drive, well it goes into drive but it does not turn the wheels, it acts as though the car is in neutral. Anyways just thought you guys should know, just incase this ever happens to one of you guys.

Ok so when i turn my wheel left and i am driving (like going around a corner or something) it makes like a really light hissing sound, and especially when i go up ramps like in a parking garage or something? I thought it might be my power steering or something, but what can i do about it? My steering is all fine and everything. Can anyone help?

I just did this same thing with a woodgrain kit so i could install my CF kit. Just get a heat gun and heat it in sections for example heat the driver door part that goes over the window switches. Get it pretty hot (but watch out not to melt your doors plasxtic) then get a tiny screwdriver and peel off the corner, then with your hands pull it off, it should come off and you might have to pul;l hard, dont worry if the poanel comes out you can snap it back in. Most likely there will be glue left over on the panel, so just get your heat gun, heat it up as much as possible,a and start at one end and kind of with a rolling rubbing motion start rolling it off, it will kind of roll into like a paper towel looking roll or something. If that doesnt work, i used carbeurator cleaner and a shop rag, just spray the stuff on there and take the rag and rub. It WILL all come off. It took me about 2 hours to do the whole thing and another 30 minutes to put the cf on.

Hope this helps. smile.gif
