Your pm box is full how much do you want for that extended hood latch shipped ?? And how much is it extended by ?? Thanks.

It's about 1.5"to 2" - I basically welded one that I pulled from a Celica in a junkyard onto the current one. However, it's currently pending a transaction.

I did, and I replied.

what happened to your car?

Long story short:
-Back in December
-Coming back from work
-Deer
-Evasive maneuvers
-Loss of traction
-7-ft drop-off
-creek
-Ka-Splat!

My car looked like this between the creek embankments: [/] - With the front end in the bottom. At the end of it all, all the repairs that would've been required to fix it, outweighed the the whole value of the car. Plus, I'd never be able to make it look like it did - misalignment, GT-Four bumper/hood, suspension, etc. And now all parts relevant to it are being sold.

.........and along with said parts, I also have these tail lights.

hmm. i wonder if that gt4 hood is salvageable?

I'm not gonna lie....the hood is pretty messed up. You can see the hole where it pretty much dominated a tree, and where the resulting branch pierced it - then again the hood I believe is only made from aluminum, so go figure. The top-mounted grill is somewhat "tilted" - I wouldn't call it bent beyond repair. The portion for the intake IS bent. But the two exit ports are just dandy. If you'd like any hood accessories, I do have those. If not, I'm going to just scrap the hood for metal.

is the airbag computer still functional after a crash? if so, i might be interested. how much shipped to 96789?

If it is, you may enjoy first take on it. If you wanna look into it, just call some numbers and find out for sure that it's still operational; because if there are any signs or indications around it, just point them out to me, and I'll go investigate. The airbag light IS lit, if that provides any indication.

Just do some TLC on it and let me know. I don't want to send you a dead product.

OEM projector sets for this series of Celica run from $600.00-$750.00, however, since these are custom-made low-beams, with angel eyes/halos. I am only asking for a fraction of the price.

so what is a fraction of the price?

It started $250, with $30.00, for shipping - I plan on using two Flat-Rate Boxes to ship these. But refer to the eBay link for an updated total.

QUOTE (sugarfree @ Mar 20, 2010 - 12:28 AM) *
What do you mean the "projector/headlight housing"? Are you only selling something that we could use to make a projector/headlight with? Your not selling actual headlights right?

No. The headlight housings are made and functional. I emphasize the "housing" because it does not include bulbs/HID kits. I've left those as they are, so the buyer may choose what output source he/she wants (preferred HID kit/ballast, bulb temperature, etc.), but I've left a few suggestions in the description, too. The LEDs that power the angel eyes/halos and side-markers have been recently replaced in both low beam housings to ensure that they don't burn out, either.

Coming back to the bulbs, the best way to tighten and keep the bulbs in place will be with some screws and washers that tighten the sides of the HID bulb flanks to prevent it from moving around. At least that's how I found them when I received this set last summer. One of the HID bulbs was burned out, and one of the HID kits had been mishandled from the previous owner, so I opted to purchase a new set via GriffGirl here on the forum.

You can make a hood latch extension by finding another latch from a Celica in a junkyard and then weld it onto your current one, thus extending it. That's what I did with mine, anyway.

Up for auction is a set of custom-made projector headlight housings for a sixth-generation (1994-1999) Toyota Celica. I am not the original developer of this specific set, but I’ve updated it the best I can. I would’ve installed this set on my Celica, but as of late, I do not possess it anymore.

I've pried them open and replaced all the LEDs, along with resistors, so they shouldn't burn out anytime soon. In turn, I've also newly resealed them, so any weather-related problem shouldn't be an issue, either. They have clear lenses and custom molds from an OEM housing that fits stock on the headlight mount and bumper.

There are 3 LEDs per housing: two in either direction of the halo-ring/angel eyes, and one as a side-marker in the upper portion of the housing. As far as the LEDs are concerned, you have the option of wiring them as you see fit: there two wires for each housing (positive (+) and negative (-) ). Personally, I would just simply wire them to the parking/running lights, just below the headlights.

The projector frame comes from what appears to be something of German-origin, either a BMW or a Mercedes-Benz. The original HID bulb was from a Mercedes, but any H3 bulb should fit; it just requires a few washers to hold it tightly in place.

OEM projector sets for this series of Celica run from $600.00-$750.00, however, since these are custom-made low-beams, with angel eyes/halos. I am only asking for a fraction of the price.

Just as a reminder, this auction is for the projector/headlight housing (which includes all the LEDs/LED wiring) ONLY – NOT the HID bulb set/HID ballast. If you wish to use this set to its full potential, I would recommend purchasing a HID ballast with a 9006 bulb plug input, with an H3 output bulb to fit in the housing.

I am currently running this FS via eBay as you can see ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=170460785300 ). However, if the auction falls through, I will consider taking the highest offer that I receive on here.

Is our 6gc or maybe celicas in general a boy or girl car, i think of it as a man car, but everyone seems to think it is a dinky girl car... wth

!!!!!!

It seems like the complete opposite in my general proximity. I've always been asked what year it is, and when I explain that it's a '97, I usually receive a dumbfounded look and a comment expecting that it's '00 or newer. Shame on whoever says it's "dinky".

Also, it doesn't necessarily have to be a chick car, though, it's definitely a chick. I mean look at those curves!

****UPDATE****

First off, I want to apologize for any confusion with the previous statements in this thread. I was in the midst of possibly selling the car outright, relocating with my job, and thus moving out and moving in to my new place - the Celica hasn't been my top priority as of late, so I've placed it on the back burner for a little bit.

This thread, however, is for final sales. I will list some of these parts on eBay, as I see it as the easiest method to list items, with a third party, so that there's no hesitation with sending and receiving payment via PayPal. However, I will also list a photo album of the current state of the Celica, as well as all attached and detached parts, that I may not specifically mention below. With these said parts (ones that aren't linked to eBay or that do not have an attached price), just send me an offer.

As far as communicating with me, my PM box overflowed with the last topic, so leaving me a comment on here, or messaging me via eBay (for the parts that I list with it), may be the best ways of contacting me. I also have created an email specifically for this: sellica1997@gmail.com , so that in turn will be a guaranteed method of contacting me, particularly if what you have to message me is specific or private.

As far as the Celica frame itself, I plan on selling it as a whole for scrap, so if there are any parts that you see in the photo album that aren't listed specifically below, please let me know ASAP; otherwise these parts may be disposed of along with the car.

Here's a link to the album with how the Celica currently is with all parts that are currently attached and detached from the vehicle:
