+35 wont even be close to being flush. You'd still need at least +25 spacers in the rear for flush. Front's will need +10 spacers for flush. I have 17x8 +35 and they weren't even close to flush. Even the 15mm Ichiba spacers I had in the rear didn't make it quite flush. BTW, not to be an ass but starting with +42 will be an even worse start. +35 would be better than stock. rim width also plays a part in it as well. +35 is perfect for me as i spend most of my time in northern maine where the roads are junk and hellaflush would turn into hella expensive when every pothole would eat rims and tires. I suppose everyone else has a different opinion though, clearly. Bonzaicelica has the same motegi ff7's and better camera angles which show the fitment. But like I said, everyone has a different opinion. Stock IS +35. Offset will play big in how flush you want it, not width. I posted a picture on the first page of this thread of some volks wheels. If you copy and past the link I am about to post, It should take you to the page the volk wheels are on. The wheels are 17 x 9. How close will the wheel be to flush. or even hellaflush. Does anybody think these wheels will work good. Or will they just plain be to wide. please let me know. Sorry for the lack of knowledge on my part. Link: http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/volk-ce...11V-CE28N-GEN-5 Just copy and paste in your search box, Thank You 5x114.3? find the correct bolt pattern and offset. I thought these wheels would have the correct bolt pattern. When I ordered my last set of wheels they were 5 x 100 or 5 x 114.3. I just assumed by these wheels having 10 holes. 5 holes would be 5 x 114.3 and the other 5 holes would be 5 x 100. Just didnt think they would have 10 holes and both bolt patterns be the same. If both bolt patterns are the exact same why have 10 holes? As for the correct offset, thats what I am trying to figure out, thats why i am asking questions, to learn more. Could you Please tell me the sizes I would need to have my wheels flush? Then tell me the sizes I would need to give me the hellaflush look? Or whatever I would have to do to get the hellaflush look? I mean the correct offsets. As I said before, Sorry for my lack of knowledge. But if not for ppl like myself not knowing this stuff, what would all you wonderful ppl do with your spare time, Instead of answering our "we should have already known" questions. Thank You everybody for the comments. I will look into what everybody has suggested Thanks again. |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...#ht_2465wt_1270 just found these ones, they're at a good price and they have a nice deep dish and the offset is +35 which will bring it somewhat flush. I'm selling my old rims to buy these ones actually. If your interested in my 17x7.5 motegi FF7 rims look them up and let me know. I looked up the rims on google and in your profile pictures. They do look pretty nice. Also in your pictures your wheels look pretty close to being flush. Are you running any spacers or is it all just the wheels? What is the offset on the wheels you have? How much would you want for the set you have? As I have stated before, I am not actually going to be purchasing the wheels for at least a couple months. I still want to keep looking and see what other option I can find. But thanks for the info and the comments. |

Neither, as long as the bolt pattern is 5x100 you can go bigger than 16. I'v got 17s and could easily run 18s. For the flush look, go for a rim with an offset around +25mm. This will allow the rim to become closer to flush, and can pull off the deep dish lip. I love the look of bronze rims on a white celica, chrome don't get you home. I did have a set of 17s on it once before. When I put the 15s back on it for winter it felt a little stronger. not a whole lot, just enough to notice a difference. Thats why I wanted either 15s or 16s. But the more I look I think I am going to end up going with 17s again. Thanks for the offset info. That will help me out when I order my next set. |

They look sick. I believe there is a white gt four with those in a bronze color on 6gc somewhere, not sure the name though. Yes I have seen it. If anybody knows whos it is please have them post on this thread and let me know their thoughts about this wheel. Is it a good quality wheel. What size tires are they using and what they are using for the lowering system. Thank you EDIT: I found the white Celica again, It belongs to Rob A. |

cast vs forged wheel arguement I guess... 150 dollars a wheel vs 500$ a wheel..to each his own I guess. Not really an arguement, I have no problem buying cheap wheels, (price wise). I just want good quality. If I have to spend a little extra to get a better quality wheel than that is what I am going to do. I would rather spend a little extra the first time and get a good quality wheel, and have it last. VS. Buy a cheap wheel (quality wise) and have it break in a couple months. Then I have to do the whole process over again. Just makes more sense to me to do it right the first time. However, I am still looking for a set of wheel that will go good on my celica. Thank you everybody for your comments and suggestions. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING. So far I think I like the "Volk Rays CE28" the best. Any opinions about this wheel would be great. |

"I don't think he's doing a cheap parts build on this car" No I am not going for whatever is cheapest. I want my car to be done right. WITH GOOD QUALITY. I would rather pay a little extra to ensure good quality and get what I want vs. paying as little as possible and getting something that wont last and has bad quality. "Lolz yeah If a shop's recommendations are those then they aren't really doing their job properly" The bad part about this is when I first told the lady what I wanted, she said they didn't have anything at all. I had to wait a day or 2 for them to find the wheels I posted. And they still aren't what I wanted. "babi_boi I DO recommend lowering the car first before upgrading rim sizes, atleast that way you can see what your max tire/wheel size will be before you have any other issues" Come this february I plan to take the car off the road again. During the time she is off the road I plan to redo my suspension. As well as some engine work, and possibly some side skirts, front and rear splitters, and maybe a new hood. |

I called a wheel place and told them I wanted either a 15 or 16 inch wheel. I would like the wheel to kinda have the deep dish look to it. Also the wheel must be flush with my body line. I dont want a super lot of spokes. If I did I would get wire wheels. I dont really know if I like the options they gave me. That is why I started this topic. If ANYBODY knows anything better than what I was given to choose from, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME. hopefully I can find something better than these 2. |

Not sure if this will help any, I just got off the phone with a toyota service center. I gave the lady my vin number and she told me what each of the characters ment. 1. origin, ex: mine is J meaning japan. 2. manufacture mine (as all of yours should be) is T meaning Toyota. 3. mine has a 2 meaning passenger vehicle. 4. mine has an S meaning double cab limited. 5. engine size, mine is T meaning 2.2 6. restrant system, mine actually has a 0. The lady on the phone said she was not sure why bc she only has meanings for 3-9. meaning that the 6th digit should be either 3,4,5,6,7,8, or 9. 7. series, mine is a 7 meaning celica. 8. car line, again meaning celica. 9. FBI verification, i guess if something happens to your car this is the digit that is used to identify your car. at least that is how it was explained to me. 10. model year, mine has an R meaning 1994 11. plant code, mine has a 0 meaning Toyota motor credit 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 are just a serial number for the plant the car is made Also my car is an ST204. GT. But it is in the states not sure if that will matter |

I have never done the bungy jump. I want to do both that and cliff diving. I think thats what it is called. you run as fast as you can and jump off a cliff. on your way to the ground you pull a parashoot. then just glide down like you would when skydiving. But yes around here it cost $200 to jump, including a $50 deposit that is not refundable. If you want pics. or a video its $90 more. for both pics. and a video its like $ 110-$115 more. But it is definatley worth every penny you spend. I am going again in august. I will definatley have both pics. and video if any body wants to see them. Just a thought, but maybe if there was some 6gc.net people in the area we could do a little meet. Not sure what is involved with all that. But its an idea to think about. Maybe a cook out somewhere, then a road trip to go skydiving. |

Just wondering if anybody else has ever been skydiving. I just did it last weekend it was the most amazing thing in the whole world. unfortunatly, I didn't have the extra funds to get pics. or video. I just got the celica repainted and didn't buget my money right for the skydiving event. However, I am going skydiving again in August. I will definatly get pics. and video the next time. So again, I was just wondering if anybody else has been skydiving before, and what there thoughts were about it. |

That is a really good deal, almost worth the drive for me to drive there from Toronto You should put some side skirts on that beauty lol Yes IMO they did a damn good job for the price i paid. And when I went to pick it up, the guy even gave me a small can of the left over paint. Just in case I get a scratch or something. What kind of skirts do you think will look the best on it? Front and rear splitters as well? If yes what kind? So glad you got rid of those carbon mirrors. That made the car look way to ricey imo. Looks a lot better now though. Keep it up. Definately agree, there was just something about them when i put them on that didnt sit right with me. Thanks for the comments everybody keep them coming. |

Love the new colour! looks like a sex machine When she went to the shop, I had the trim around the headlights and the windshield redone. the wire mesh installed in the bumper, all the body work, (including adjusting the fenders a little), and the door handle resealed. (meaning when I lift up on the handle only the handle goes up, not the piece around the handle. if that makes sense.) And of course the painting. With taxes it was only $1590. Thanks everybody for the commments. please keep them coming. good or bad |
